I have to see that hands-down this is the most effective product. I have found to repel mosquitoes. It doesn’t kill them, but it creates an environment in which the mosquitoes do not feel comfortable so they are not buzzing around when you have your thermos cell turned on. The only negative about this product is that it can be kind of costly to maintain its use. It requires replacement of fuel cartridges, and these little mats that go on top of the product which get heated up by the fuel which is underneath. You should never buy the replacement fuel cells or the mats from anywhere except for Amazon or like Costco or Sam’s Club. It’s way too expensive at regular stores. Anytime I am going to be where there might be mosquitoes. I tried to bring my thermacell with me that means even inside my own house. Yes I bring my thermacell in and I turn it on inside my house because those little black mosquitoes come inside my house and they’ll eat me, but not when I have my thermacell turned on. No, this is a very specific product. It doesn’t keep away fleas. It doesn’t keep away mods. It keeps away mosquitoes only mosquitoes.. so if your pests are other insects, besides mosquitoes, then maybe this isn’t the best product for you. One perk of using this product instead of other products that zap and kill insects is the fact that this product does not zap and kill the mosquitoes so you don’t have to worry about cleaning up any dead mosquito bodies. They just turn around and go back the way they came, that’s fine with me. I love me some thermacell mosquito repellent.

I still can't believe that the makers of the Off Powerpad discontinued manufacturing!!! It was the absolute best at eliminating mosquitos for hours and hours. When I used them there would not be one flying insect near me. It protected at least a 5-6ft area. I have written to J&J to urge them not to jump ship to no avail.This product, the Thermacell Mosquito repellent is almost as good. It uses heat provided by either a cartridge (in the smaller model) or a USB cable charge on the larger model and a repellent. The smaller model uses a treated pad which is inserted above the heat source. There is no discernable odor but the mosquitos keep their distance. The larger model uses a repellent cartridge which is inserted in the top of the unit. Again, there is no discernable odor, and again, the mosquitos keep their distance.

These units are incredibly effective at eliminating mosquitos from our backyard dining area! In the spring and early summer it can be completely uninhabitable in our backyard as we are backed up to a swampy natural area and the mosquitos get overwhelming. Since ordering these we have all enjoyed our backyard so much more! We also took these camping with us and our friends drove into town for a pair of their own on the first night! I don't even wear bugspray on myself or my kids anymore when I plan on using them. I would buy them a dozen times over and have told many friends and neighbors whom have all been happy as well. Worth every penny!

All I can find locally is 48 hour boxes. Just before hunting season every store was sold out.Found this 120 hour box on Amazon, should last all winter in S. La.
