This thermometer seems well built and comes with a metal case that is also top notch. I thought I had an issue about its accuracy but was immediately resolved by Thomas Scientific. I have no problem purchasing from this seller in the future.

It suits my purpose for having a small and inexpensive thermometer with a protective case. Only possible issue (for some) is that the current photo is incorrect. Product I received has a case that completely covers the tube, and to read it the case must be completely removed. I have the 30 to 120 degree F version of this product family. The thermometer is well made and the aluminum case is nicely done. The markings are very clear and the red fluid is easy to read. No complaints! (As an aside, I have no way to verify its accuracy, but that's not an issue for me as I'm only interested in relative temperature changes. Of course, I have no reason to doubt its accuracy.)Made in the UK. (It's so nice to find something NOT made in China. I've had so many problems with things made in China...)Definitely recommended !

I bought this thermometer to use as a temp std for other digital thermometers I have. It is easy to read I think it's under a half degree accuracy. But I can't verify it's accuracy std. I dont seem to be able to find out how accurate it is.

doesn't actually look like the one in the picture. It must be taken out of the tube to be seen. I wanted this, because it looks like you can read it through the opening/slot in the tube with out having to remove it, but there actually is no opening. The tube is solid aluminum. I reordered it to make sure and got the same thing twice.
