I had wiring that was melting due to close proximity to the header on a race car. Replaced the wiring and protected te new with this product, secured with stainless steel zipties, and the problem has gone away. Very easy to work with (cuts with normal scissors).

It has a tacky looking outside sewn sandwich seam that sticks out sideways that is not shown in the pics!!! Went for the Summit 1/2"sleeve with Velcro closure instead of this.

I used this on 1/2" DOT approved polymer air brake lines, as I had two that were melting due to proximity to exhaust system heat when the truck was sitting still. While these bought the lines a little more time in terms of withstanding heat, they didn't resolve the problem

I use this stuff anywhere heat is a problem. It extends the life of wires and hoses for me. It also is a full stated length of 3 ft. Some of the Thermo Tec products are shorter than stated, so check to be sure.Or order extra.

Used this material to shield some wiring that had to be extended (catalytic converter O2 sensors AND wiring from a driver side head temp sensor). No problems and it keeps the header heat at bay. Easy to work with. Would definitely recommend.

THIS IS A GREAT PRODUCT. BY COVERING MY 1968 FORD MUSTANG FUEL LINE WITH THERMO-TEC 14005 3' 1/2" I.D. THERMO SLEEVE SOLVED THE VAPOR LOCK PROBLEM I EXPERIENCED MOST RECENTLY.
