These worked great for me. Home Depot sells these as one per packet... at 7 times the cost of these. These are about 20% less robust, and that meets my need perfectly.

A great amount at a decent price and these are great for bolting tubular items down. All of the parts are included, nothing needed outside of the box. The only downside I ran into was I was able to snap a few of these while hand tightening with a socket wrench. I'm an average sized person, so I imagine plenty of people could do the same.If you need high tensile strength, these may not be the best pick. For residential or light duty work - these will do just fine.

They work like U-Bolts and match the published dimensions relatively closely. After some time in my outdoor application (holding planking to a cable bridge) I will update my review after seeing how well they hold up to weather.UPDATE: These have been outside in the weather for about 2 months now. I had cause to remove one for some maintenance and noticed that the metal that was in contact with wood (red oak in this case) was a lot more corroded and rusty than I would have expected for being outside for such a short time. The metal parts NOT in contact with the wood still seem bright and shiny.

So simple an idea, but sometimes simple is better. Use these to connect the frames of your 12-13 foot skeleton or Jack Skellington or whatever to some of those deep lawn anchors (mine are 18") and your decoration is secure!
