I bought the black ones and they seem to have a very nice anodizing. I tried to scratch it with a pin and while I could see a very light trace, it would take a bit of work to make an easily visible scratch. I have a Sculpfun S6 Pro diode laser engraver that is rated for 5.5 watts actual UV power. It etches the anodizing cleanly off with a setting of 500 mm/min, 8 lines per mm, and full power. The result is very pretty, and of course the precision is excellent (limited only by the spot size of your laser) because anodizing is so thin. I tried 1,000 mm/min and it didn't quite do a clean job, although it was pretty close. The Sculpfun spot is pretty small, though, so 1,000 mm/min with more lines might have worked fine. These are really great cards ... very stiff with no sharp edges like the stainless steel ones seem to have. I highly recommend them.
