Perfect for a shower access panel in the back of a closet. It gives a much more polished look than the painted plywood that was there previously. You just cut your drywall hole to size and caulk it in. Pretty simple installation.

The 14×29 Metal Access Panel was the perfect solution for accessing bathroom plumbing. It's heavy-duty, with reinforced corners, moisture-proof, wear-resistant, and rust-resistant. The smooth edges and stainless steel cam key lock add safety and security. Easy to install and customizable. Highly recommend for reliable access to hidden utilities!

Can't say this is anything to write home about. Feels sturdy enough, nothing amazing. Door binds just a little bit, haven't tried too hard to correct it yet. Something of note is that the frame is thick enough that you will need to ensure no framing cuts across the opening, this needs to be installed like a "real" door.

I received this metal access panel packaged in a box with bubble wrap. One corner of the box was dented which bent the corner frame. After straightening the bent corner I decided to install due to the quality weight construction and finish.I got this to replace an ugly plywood panel behind the bathtub that was held in with screws surrounded with door casing which stuck out over the baseboard molding. After removing all the ugliness I measured 14-1/2" between the wall studs which is normal space for 16" on center wall studs. The frame on this access panel is only 13-1/2" therefore I added a 3/4" board to 1 wall stud. This access panel is taller than the access panel I removed so I cut the opening to fit the height. After repairing the drywall around the frame checked fitment level on the frame was straight ready to mount the frame. This frame is sturdy with corner brackets attached so I drilled a hole through all 4 corner brackets 3/4" deep behind the face frame to allow screws to penetrate the wall studs behind 1/2" drywall. After securing the frame with 4 screws I reinstalled the door with a perfect fit as the door opens closes perfectly.Next I will caulk the frame to the wall/baseboard for a sleek appearance then paint the wall. This is a sturdy metal access panel with an easy to remove door when needed to access behind also a lock to prevent access when the grandchildren are here.

Arrived damaged. And it’s much too light. Thin metal, poor quality lock.

I know how big the measurements stated on the ad but wasn't expecting such a big item. That's actually a good thing.. not a complaint. It is plenty large and really well made metal and heavy duty. Use this to put something in the wall as a safe place or maybe to have access to valves or whatever. It's a good product.

The door seems made of quality materials but ours arrived with the lock latch assembly in pieces. Thankfully the pieces were in the box and had not fallen out of the hole that was in the box. (However, we did almost lose it when it fell out of the box as we removed the door) I was able to reassemble the l9ck and it seems to be working okay. These doors would work great for plumbing access panels (usually found in closets) that you do not want children to be able to access or in our case we will be using it in the garage. We will be building a box between the joists and mounting this to the front so we have a locked storage area in the garage for equipment keys etc.
