I recently replaced my old Spirocore / Larsen strings with a full set of Rondo, and at first they were fantastic. Within a few months, however, at least on my cello, the A string got so bright it was almost too noticeable during rehearsals. I had been considering Versum from the beginning so decided to try the A and I’m glad I did. It’s a lot mellower (again, on my cello) and seems to have tamed the bright sound my cello wants to make. A really nice string, you can’t go wrong. In fact, next time I’m going to try *all* Versum to see how it goes.

Mein Sohn ist nun vom Schülerchello (3/4) auf ein ganzes Cello gewechselt. Spielt seit 4 Jahren. Preiskategorie des neuen Cellos ca. 2.500,- €. Die A_Saite ist leider durch Transport zu früh gerissen, war allerdings klanglich schwächer als die anderen Saiten. Nach Recherchen habe ich diese Saite A VERSUM von Thomastik-Infeld bestellt. Mein Sohn und ich sind begeistert. Sehr voller und feiner Sound. Von uns eine klare Kaufempfehlung!
