I bought another brand of thread burned from a big box craft store, and the thing just wouldn't work. I had to struggle to put in the batteries, the battery cap didn't fit right, and the burner never heated up. This one solved all those problems. Since it is rechargeable I don't need to fumble with batteries or have the unit fall apart in my hands. The tip heats up fast and does a great job burning the threads close to the work. It's easy to hold and fits my hand well. I like the digital display so I always know when it is on and what the charge level is. Definitely ticks all he boxes and does a great job.

This little guy is great!! I was using a lighter on my bracelets and I pooped a few and had to start over. This is very precise and wonderful for small seed bead bracelets and necklaces.I do wish the cap actually stayed on. It would be nice if it clicked on and stayed. But I'm ok with that because it works great.

Effective thread burner, calls for a 5v 1amp USBa plug (most are higher amp). Also, round body is compact but makes this hard to keep from rolling away when you set it down.

This is the third thread burner I've gotten in a week because the first two were terrible. And now I wish I'd started with this one. Comes ready to use straight out of the box. It heats up quickly and gets hot enough for the wire at the tip to glow if you hold the button long enough. For my purposes, i don't need it to get that hot, but I'm glad it can. One of the common complaints I've seen about the other two (non-rechargeable) thread burners I tried was short battery life. I've had this one for 5 days and used it exclusively and haven't had to charge it yet. I don't know how that compares to other rechargeable thread burners but it seems pretty good to me.The only con I can think of for this product is the cap was a little difficult to get off. But you just have to pull a bit harder. (Funny story: when I first opened the box, I didn't realize the cap was on. I thought they sent me a thread burner without a tip. Thankfully that was not the case.)Overall: I love this thing. It works better than scissors for fireline and similar threads. So this would be a great addition for a beading tool kit or a tackle box.

The product performed as expected. The inside packaging kept all components in place during shipping. The box is sturdy and made of quality cardboard.The thread burner does a great job. Instructions advise to clean burner after each burn. This is important for burner wire longevity. A brush is provided for this purposeVery satisfied with this thread burner!

Well, yeah, I actually did read the negative comments. But I purchased anyway figuring it was an anomaly. And would you look at that… just a few days after the ‘return window’ closed it stopped working. The first thing was the display. It started flashing. I figured it needed to be charged (although it still had two bars showing on that flashing display). I charged it. Apparently, this product is built to last just until the day after returning would be an option. Imagine that. However, I’m going to pursue a refund because, really, a product that lasts 1 month and 1 day just isn’t cool.UPDATE: Yes, I pursued that refund. I succeeded! However, it wasn’t a full refund because they deducted over $3.00 for ‘damage’. Now that’s an excellent turnaround - blame the victim for their substandard product. Well done.

This device was even better than I expected! I do a lot of machine embroidery and, although the machine automatically cuts the threads, there are always some bits left. This device clears them easily and instantly, leaving a tidy finish. It’s easy to use as well.
