I have put off getting a product like this due to the fact that I did not really NEED it. However, I am very happy that I can now get sizes right without a trial and error method. The wandering back and forth between the parts bin and the project at hand has been cut by a lot. The sizing is true and finish of the product is good.My only beef is that this is a bit cumbersome but the parts are all in one place and not easy to misplace.

I haven't gone through and checked every single bolt but I happened to need to check the diameter of the 9/16"-12 bolt and it measured at least 1/32" smaller than it should be.The main issue is the laser engraved etchings are very inconsistent and some of them are entirely worn off or nearly impossible to read. The ones that are clear to read are great.Overall it serves its purpose and has helped organize screws and aided in finding the right sized screws/bolts for various projects and applications. I prefer my wall mounted one for ease in reading so maybe I'll just need to make my own one day.

This is the most useful and most used tool in our shop. this is the fourth one of these I've purchased. takes all the guesswork of of sorting fasteners, both nuts and bolts. no more wondering the thread pitch before ordering bolts. everyone who tries these out wants to know where I picked it up.

Other than being somewhat bulky, it is perhaps the best sizing tool for this purpose. Measures thread type without error. The thread sizing "cards" you can buy are popular but are limited in size selection and give ambiguous results. This tool nails it. The printing on each piece is slightly hard to read in poor light.Highly recommended, especially if you do re-fit and repair work.
