The THURSO SURF Quill 42†bodyboard is easily the best bodyboard I’ve ever owned. It is lightweight and durable, and it offers great maneuverability and good distance. I am 5-10, 185lbs, and I rode countless waves at Gulf Shores, Alabama, during a recent weeklong beach stay. People actually asked me if I was a “pro†or if I was using a professional board, because the THURSO SURF board made me look good on the water.

This unit is very stiff and buoyant. As a 225 lb. man I find it holds me on top of the waves. In general it is a good board.

This is great and can confirm it supports 230 lbs. lightweight but not cheap with no scratches or rips over 2 weeks of beach use.

Everyone should google height weight requirements for what appropriate size board you need. Most boards on Amazon are for 9 yr old sized kids. So do your research or you WILL NOT CATCH ANY WAVES. This is a great board and my daughter caught WAVES ALL DAY LONG it made for an awesome day at the beach, while her friend hardly caught any at all because she weighed too much for her board. So she threw tantrums all day to borrow my daughter's board. At the end of the day my gf wanted me to send her the link to where I bought my daughters board. Sometimes walmart board are fine for 9 yrs and younger but I wouldn't get one of them for an older kid. The lesson here is: Do your research on google for the right size board, before you expect any ol piece of styrofoam to lift and carry your 150lb+ butt!

Sturdy with good quality surface BUT on our first usage the rubber sides are starting to come unglued. For the price, very disappointing
