Worked perfectly for our TI Calculator.

So it seemed that the battery in my TI-84 Plus CE bit the dust...Or at least so much so that I was caught in a boot loop. I originally tried to reset the boot loop via the usual step, but it just wasn't working. I suppose I was at an advantage that I did have another TI-84 that I could swap the battery out of, which this did allow me to then assess that it was in fact the battery. The boot loop issue was gone. After installing this battery the issue did not present itself, the battery fits as it should and I charged it right up. I'll have to give it a little more time on the battery life because honestly I rarely need to charge them. What I will say is that if you're in the same boat and/or just need a replacement battery, this could save you on that investment.

Our TI-84 Plus CE had the dreaded boot loop problem after letting it sit unused for a month or so. What happens is that the battery gets so low that it can't even power on enough to boot the OS to the point where charging can begin, not even when it's plugged into the wall charger. So when plugging it in you'll see a "Validating OS" message briefly before the calculator reboots and shows the same message....again...and again...and again, presumably forever. I don't know since I gave up and unplugged it after 12 hours. My daughter needed the calculator for an upcoming math test, so I jumped on Amazon and found this replacement. It's marketed as 2500mAh, compared to the OEM battery's 1200mAh. I'd take these figures with a huge grain of salt, since manufacturers are notorious for overstating the mAh capacity. The battery arrived partially charged -- let's say about 25%. It's very close to the same size as the OEM battery, perhaps a smidge thicker. Not an extra 1300mAh thicker though, and it doesn't prevent the calculator's battery cover from being attached properly.I'll admit it was a relief when I pressed the On button and I finally got past that "Validating OS" screen! As expected, the calculator once again works. My daughter and I are very happy about that.No charging instructions came with the battery. But on the Amazon product page, it does say this:------------[How To Use】: Using up all the power of battery for the first three times before charging, and then take a full charge, Please remember that its full performance and longevity is only achieved after 8 to 10 complete charge and discharge cycles. thus the battery can be reached the optimum effect of using.------------I'm not sure how we're supposed to "use up all the power of battery for the first three times before charging". After I use up "all the power" the first time, how am I supposed to use it two additional times before charging? I take it to mean that you're supposed to make sure that the battery is completely exhausted before charge it the first time, and that will result in the battery having the maximum capacity and life in the long runHowever, I'm very reluctant to run the battery down completely -- not to mention three times in a row! -- given the dreaded boot loop that I've already experienced with a dead battery in this calculator. I am going to reach out to the seller to seek clarification, and I'll update my review when I get a response.4/5 stars. It works, it's cheaper than the TI branded one, and seems like a quality product. But at the moment it's not giving me quite the peace of mind I had hoped for due to the confusing charging instructions.
