These Ticonderoga My First Wood-Cased Pencils are wonderful for young children learning to hold a pencil. But they are also great for people with problematic joints in the hand such as arthritis, swollen joints and the like, much easy to grip and hold on to. They last a long time too as the lead is thicker it doesn’t break as easily.

It's nice and fat, so easy to hold for arthritic hands. It's not perfectly round or concentric with the lead if that bothers you. I initially was bothered by that but then again it doesn't roll away too easily. The graphite is a nice consistancy. I use them for crossword puzzles and they write smoothly and erase easily. The sharpener is a must have for these oversized pencils.

The thick Ticonderoga is my standout favorite. Forget all other pencils! This one has just the right feel. You don‘t have to be a kid to know intuitively that this is the one you always wanted. Thank you for delivering to Germany!
