Ticonderoga pencils have a good reputation for a reason. The point is more durable than other pencils, and the wood doesn't splinter. It is the only pencils I will use. Most schools recommend using this brand

Amazon lists this as: "Ticonderoga No. 2 HB Woodcase Pencils, Yellow, Pack of 10+2 (33892CB)"It's not. It is 33892, which is a package of 10 Ticonderoga No. 2 pencils. And they're sharpened, if that matters to you. It doesn't to me.33892CB includes an additional two, unpainted pencils, and they are all unsharpened. Again, if that matters to you. (I spent lots of time in September's past sharpening pencils and pencil crayons (colored pencils) at the start of the school year. So I don't really care.)All of this is probably not a big deal considering that you get ten, real Ticonderoga No. 2 pencils, for four bucks. Which, for me, is outstanding value.It would have been even better value to get twelve pencils, hence the lower-than-five-star rating.
