Installation was simple. You have to use teflon tape. Steel against brass ... you need the tape. I sniped the end and used a switch direct to the battery. Worked great. The drain plug is very heavy and sturdy. Out of the water it's very bright. Boat going in water next week ... will update when in water.Highly recommend.

I wanted to have the traditional underwater lights, but after buying a pair for over $400 dollars and trying to pull teeth for getting anyone intrested in installing them I decided to forget it. I sent the expensive lights back and bought these. I am happy that I did so!No, they may not be as bright as the expensive pair, but they do the job of lighting the transom of your boat with a great noticeable improvement. I have a 2001 Sea Ray sundancer that is 21ft. I simply fished the power cord though the drain plug hole, ran the cord up though the starboard side storage compartment, made a small cut at the bottom of the storage compartment door and the ran the plug to the instrument panel. With the press of a bottom I have light at the bottom of my boat, and it's very bright and noticeable. One note of caution: use plumber's tape on the lights treads before you install or else it may leak like mines did. After I applied the tape I had no issues. Whenever you connect silver and brass this is bound to happen.Enjoy!

I bought this for my boat and was super excited to get it to go with all my other lights and installed it which was easy just use Teflon tape with it. It's not bright at all can barley see it and completely a waste of money should have kept my money and used a $5 plug. Really disappointed wish I could send it back and try another product.

Actually pretty good product. Easy to install. Has an on off right by plug in so you don't have to worry about unplugging to turn off. The light ambiance is great too. Would recommend.

This item Absolutely SUCKS. my 30 ft boat is finally in the water, I plugged the light it and what a joke. It's not bright. It looks like a very very small flash light. And I'm in fresh clear water. So now I'm stuck with that POS until the lift it out of the water in November. Thanks for your BS product ðŸ‘
