We received this item as a gift. This set is so much fun! My 6.5 year old son absolutely loves it! Covers Morse code, pig Latin, has a coding circle to write secret messages in code, an invisible ink pen with light that reveals the hidden message, an ink pad for fingerprinting, etc. while my son has trouble with some of the big words in the book, he is definitely able to read and understand it with minimal help. This is PERFECT for any occasion !

Only gave it two stars because i personally found it interesting BUT I bought this for my almost 5 year old and I consider her pretty advanced. Or atleast catches on quick but she was not able to comprehend or even find interest in this at all. I believe a maybe 8 year old and up this would be perfect for but definitely not a 5 year old.
