We have two leopard geckos that absolutely love this product. Our little trailer gets awful cold on winter nights in the main parts of the house; (we only heat the bedrooms and areas with water-pipes to save money). These little heating pads have been a life-saver for our geckos. They have little burrows over where the heating pad sits, and they always snuggle down there on the coldest nights. The only thing I think worth warning people about is the adhesion is strong, like really, really strong! Once you get these things on, you had better hope they're where you want them.

My ball python tends to find his way to one of these pads that are located under his tank. He loves them thank goodness its under the tank because the one I put on the back of the tank keeps fall off. Oh well he is happy.

It gets very hot.They come curled up in a box, but flatten out quickly once plugged in and heated up.There is a dial control on the cord to turn it on/off with a click and to turn the temperature up or down by rotating it clockwise for on and then hotter, or counterclockwise for cooler and then down to click off.I read people use these to start seeds. I also have an alternate use for these reptile heating pads. The house heat is broken here and my cat is cold. So I plugged one of these in and placed it underneath her cat bed. Not in her bed next to her, but under the whole bed so the heat radiates up thru the bottom soft pad of her bed and creates a universally warm area insteas of hot spots too hot to lay on.She loved it! I am not sure of fire safety when used in this manner, so I only keep it on and plugged in when I am watching tv in the evenings and the cat is under the table next to my recliner in her cat bed. When I get up to to bed I turn this heating pad off and unplug it, her cat bed feels very warm from this pad being under her bed and sandwiched against the floor.It is far too hot to use alone without a barrier for safety in between. A bit hard to regulate the temperature because of the dial instead of digital numbers.Not a bad price though for what you get. You get 2 pads that will heat up almost too hot to touch on 3/4 way up high on the dial.Easy to set up and use. Sticky pads included for adhesion to the bottom of a glass reptile tank. I would imagine loose gravel would go over this pad in that case and maybe a piece of wood to perch on for a reptile to make a warm space with flexible choices since this can get very hot.

My wife loves the heating pad. No, she did not use them for reptiles but for starting plants from seeds. This year she decided to try growing vegetables and other plants from seeds. She told me she needed to keep them a little warmer than what we had the temperature of the house. She could not believe that two heating pads came in the package and put them to use right away.Well, they may not have warmed a reptile up but they sure did a great number on her plants as you can see in the picture. I had the heating pad off to the side in the picture because she do not need it right now as she is getting ready to transplant the plants into bigger pots to get them ready for outside.How well do they work for plants? They work extremely well and not sure we would have had such hearty plants without these two great heaters. If you happen to look at a review that I did with grow lights, you will see how small the plants were not that long ago. The heat plus the grow lights made my wife very happy in her first endeaver.

These heating pads are perfect for my gerbils! They're in 40 gallon glass tanks & this heating pad has beautiful heat control. The adhesive is perfect, very strong but was also re-positionable after I accidentally placed it off from where I wanted it. After ensuring the position was perfect, I applied pressure and the adhesive has since held in place as it should (I've been using it for a month and a half or so, for reference. I wanted to test it thoroughly before reviewing - as products like this, which produce electricity & heat right next to our beloved pets, do not have wiggle room for poor QC or malfunctions)My only pet-peeve is that the dial has no indication of which temperature you've set it to. It makes a *click!* sound when it's activated & again when it is put back into the "off" position, but there isn't anything that says "80F", "90F", etc etc. there isn't even a "Low" , "Medium" , "High" indication.. just a dial with zero visuals to reference. Which, is overall NOT a big deal - The heatpad reaches full temperature within about 10 minutes of turning it on, so it's not like you have to wait around to place your hand on it for a moment to see if the temperature is okay.AMAZING product! Love it!

My gecko is having a great time basking on this heating pad. His old one wasn’t this adjustable as far as the temperature (just had low/Med/high) and he needed something between low and medium. It also sticks to the bottom of the tank better so he can’t crawl underneath it to poop which is a big help for cleaning purposes! Since it comes with two I always have a clean one ready to go.
