I have to admit I had somewhat forgotten that I ordered this vibrator, so when I opened it I thought I had received an orbital sander. Pretty much the same size and weight. With the battery on the balance is pretty good and the weight sufficient so that combined with the vibration it is able to move larger tiles around fairly well. While this vibrator comes with a suction cup for holding tile while setting, it really only works on very flat tile. I haven't gotten it to hold anything with texture, which is understandable. And I didn't order it for making it easier to set tile, I ordered it for dropping that high corner without having to use a rubber mallet or my fist. The vibrator is vigorous enough that you will not want your thinset to be too thin or it will be oozing up all over the place. And on the handle is a very small bubble level, however, if I have questions as to level I just plop my torpedo level on the tile to check. And if you use the little tile wedges it doesn't matter much anyway, especially if you have a level subfloor and are good at laying down an even thickness of thinset. But I have found this very handy for use on large tiles that can get a little wonky sometimes. And it does use my Makita batteries, of which I have many. I think it is a good deal and currently comes with a 20% off coupon, making it a very good deal.

My mistake - I didn’t realize it didn’t come with a battery. You have to buy it separate. That’s ok, was still worth it. Works great. Perfect for laying the tile in the bathroom. Going to try it on patio pavers next.

This Tile Vibration Tool has been a huge help for my tiling projects, making tile installation faster and more precise. Right out of the box, the build quality felt solid, and the large suction cup provided a strong grip on various tile sizes. The 12,000r/min vibration speed, combined with stepless speed control, allowed for smooth and efficient leveling, significantly reducing air pockets and improving adhesion. Since it’s compatible with Makita 18V batteries (though not included), I could use my existing batteries without any hassle, making it a cost-effective addition to my tool collection. In use, the tool performed well, especially on larger tiles that often need extra effort to set properly. The vibration intensity was powerful enough to eliminate uneven spots while still being easy to control. However, extended use caused some hand fatigue due to the vibration strength, and I wish the handle had a bit more padding. Heavy duty gloves made it much easier to tolerate. Additionally, while the suction cup worked well on most tiles, it struggled slightly with smaller, textured tiles.Bottom Line: This Tile Vibration Leveling Machine is a valuable tool for anyone working with tile installation regularly, offering strong vibration and compatibility with Makita 18V batteries. While it may cause some hand fatigue over long sessions, its efficiency in achieving a professional-level finish makes it a worthwhile investment for both DIYers and professionals.

This is a great tool for facilitating the leveling of not only tile setting but also fabrication projects that use set liquids that need to be leveled when the project is completed. The suction cup was functional and worked as advertised. The tool is very noisy, which is not a concern in a typical work environment.

Works great will all my Makita bats. This is a plain and simple tool. It has one job, and it does it well. Would be nice if it came with a case, but other than that, no complaints.

I wish I could give this zero stars. The suction cup was strong and the variable vibration from the trigger was very impressive.None of that really matter though if the slightest downward pressure on the handle splits the plastic like it's dough.I cannot overstate the how minimal the pressure on the handle was. I initially thought that I had missed some sort of hinge feature built into the handle, but no, it just peeled away like it was nothing. The plastic broke right on the molded recess line in the case, so I suspect that it is a basic weakness/flaw in the case design.I did try to do the same on the part of the handle with the similar recess by the battery. I applied a ton of pressure with my hands and it did not break, so maybe I just got a dud... But I would look elsewhere.

This came with nothing fancy - just the tool, and they meant it. It was just the tool and absolutely nothing else. If you are looking for a leveling device that takes Makita batteries and you already have the batteries and don't need any sort of extras to come with it, this is your best bet to keep pricing low. Very basic operation. If you're in the market for something simple, look no further. It works and that's about all that matters.
