Model LTM6 Airflo - Broad Brim - Olive - I was reluctant to spend this much on a hat after disappointing results with other hat purchases. The brims all flopped down in my face even without wind. I am glad I purchased the Tilley hat, it is worth the money. The brim is stiff and provides good shade from the sun. The style is better than the floppy hats and does not make you look like a geek. A quality hat you will be glad you purchased. When reading other reviews I heard about the hat being delivered folded with creases that would not come out. Mine came on a thick piece of cardboard larger than the brim of the hat with the crown folded down. The crown just popped up and was free of creases immediately. The brim was perfect with no creasing. I used their measuring guide and purchased the exact size a 7 1/2, it fits perfectly, tight enough to not blow off in normal wind but not so tight that it does not feel comfortable. Do not be afraid to spend the money if you want a quality hat.

Excellent brim provides great shade for my head while golfing. One of the few that come in size 8. Was caught in a couple of rain showers last week and the brim held up well. The hat shed the water with very little absorbtion. Kept it's shape. You'll like it too.

This is the first 'real' hat I have owned rather than few cheap straw hats and dozens of ball caps. This is the real deal, a Tilley Endurables product that is guaranteed for life and will wear well during that hopefully long time. I had first ordered a model T4MO and it arrived in a box only three inches in height and had smashed the top of the hat down. The box was not only too short to start off with, but it had a two inch thick air-filled plastic 'pillow' inside pushing the space down to one inch. After I began working with the hat to see if I could get the top to stand up or any part of the hat to stand up and take some kind of shape, nothing done would help the hat hold any changes made. I ordered this T4MO thinking that cotton would be a better material than the 'nylon-like' Nylamtium material that is used in several of the other Tilley products. The Nylamtium fooled me, it does not look like a synthetic material at all. My mistake, the T4MO hat made of cotton will just fall down, droop, and not hold much shape at all. This I shipped back with no problems at all by Amazon, which is how all my Amazon orders have been so far.I soon received my new LTM6 Tilley Hat and it is identical in appearance to the other hat I had returned, except it stands up by itself and holds some of the adjustments you can make with the brim, back, and sides. This hat is the only one I have ever seen that I actually liked as much as I did to buy it for myself. Going through Amazon saved me a sizeable chunk of change that came to about one-third off and both hats were delivered on the date that had been given at the time I placed the order. If you want a hat that will last you a lifetime, Tilley Endurables will replace it free if it is worn out. They also have a warranty on the loss or destruction of your Tilley Hat, , so if you forget it somewhere when out and about or your dog eats the hat, just have your receipt and Tilley will replace your lost or destroyed hat for ½ price of a new hat for up to two years. This insurance policy and warranty are very good, and you even get an Owner's Manual with your Tilley. Their web site reads like something geared to sell to yuppie-types and that buying their hat will be a life changing event. It tells you everything you ever needed to know about your Tilley Hat including how to put it on your head #!# and hat tips and info from the Tilley Endurables web site. Search Google for 'tilley hat' and the results will likely also give the site for a 'Tilly' site without the 'e' in their name, close but no cigar. I really enjoying owning and wearing a useful and damn good looking hat even having a full head of hair still on my noggin.Tilley tells you over and over not to buy a hat that is too small. They tell you how to measure your head an give a conversion chart to use in choosing your hat size. The ideal way is to be able to try them on as Tilley recommends that you should be able to put two fingers between your forehead and hat. Mine is not that loose, but feels right and is not too loose to blow away readily, and not too small to be tight. It was no problem at all swapping out the hats as Amazon took care of everything with zero hassle, gotta love how they do business.If you want to step up from ball caps or wear something different for a change, the Tilley Hats are great and I would readily and strongly checking out Amazon's large selection of these very cool hats. I have become a hat wearer for life. 5/5 Stars!

My son loved his dad’s hat so much he wanted one of his own. I bought this for his birthday. My son’s hobby is sailing, I know this hat will provide years of sun protection. My husband’s Tilly hat exactly like this one is at least 10 years old and has held up great. Keeps you dry in the rain and has ties to strap the hat on during high winds. Great quality.

I have always wanted to buy this particular Tilley broad brim hat but bought other brands that were half the price. I initially could not justify the higher price but after years of wearing these styles of hats and learning to appreciate the protection from the UV rays of the intense sunny days we have here in Hawaii, I finally treated myself to a Tilley hat. This style of hat is light weight with venting and has excellent chin straps to secure the hat on windy days. Unlike the cotton hats I bought in the past which were heavier and not as well vented, at the end of the day just wasn’t as comfortable. With time and frequent washing they began to lose their shape and vent hole rings rusted and even began observing the cotton material breaking down with holes. Of course I put these hats through a lot and they served me well, I expect this Tilley hat will continue to protect my head and face from excessive sun exposure but look good too. I wear hats outdoors nowadays all the time now during the day and really like the style and fit of this model Tilley hat. I am encouraged to do so especially since my Dermatologist began removing precancerous tags on my face.

Quality hat, material, easy to wash and wear..

I went to the manufacturer site to figure out what size to order and received a hat that fit just like I wanted. The material is soft, breathable and comfortable enough to wear all day.In the month or so since it arrived, I have only worn it around the house, the yard and in the woods out back but I like it very much. This was purchased for a trip we are taking several months from now but I feel like I have broken it in enough to be confident it will meet my needs for years to come. I will try to remember to update this review after my trip.For me, this will be a shield from excessive sun once we enter Summer with the added benefit that I like how it looks on me and so does my wife.I tend to sweat a lot when it is hot outside and do not mind if this gets a bit of a “worn and weathered” look to it — I prefer it, actually. The material feels washable and I saw video of a guy cleaning his with dishwashing liquid so, with a little periodic maintenance I expect to just keep on rolling along.Hopefully, this review was helpful to you.

The hat is great...I find it annoying that you can't choose your hat size on Amazon...that said...why do you ship an extra large when the hat size can't be specified? I need a medium to large and there is no means on Amazon to specify that...

Tilley hats are certainly not cheap.... but god they are worth it!Superbly made & built to last. I have 2 of these air flo hats now,great for holidays as they are lightweight & afford plenty of ventilation.Also very stylish!Don,t be put off by the price.......worth every penny.
