Definitely not worth $40. In fact, Tilos is selling them with free shipping on their website for $7.95 right now and stock is getting low. There is no neoprene in them despite being called 1 mm thick. They won't add much if any warmth if your SUPing. They will be fine in warm water and the grip is good. Size fits slightly smaller than other similar gloves. Question is whether the velcro closures will stay closed when getting thrashed in the surf. My current gloves do not.
