Timber Drum Co. is a small workshop located in Nashville, Tennessee dedicated to crafting MADE IN U.S.A. instruments with locally sourced materials. The Timber Drum Co. Hard Rubber Head Mallets are a must-have for percussionists. Sold in pairs, these mallets draw a bright, resonant tone that’s loaded with texture from instruments like our T18-M Slit Tongue Log Drum, keyboard percussion like marimba and xylophone, as well as steel tongue drums or temple blocks. The hard rubber gives you a sharper, brighter sound than soft rubber along with a slightly muted attack you would expect from rubber. Outfitted with 1” diameter hard rubber heads and hand-stained solid birch handles, these mallets measure 15 ¼” length overall (from bottom of handle to top of mallet head). This length gives you effortless reach with a balanced feel on practically any percussion instrument. On the end of the handles, you’ll notice we carefully rounded the tips to give you that extra bit of comfort with high-end feel and look. The Timber Drum Co. Hard Rubber Mallets are designed for any level or type of player, from professional orchestral percussionist to classroom band member. Made in Nashville, Tennessee, U.S.A.
