Just picked this up for my car and I’m impressed! The bass hits hard and clean, especially after breaking it in. For the price, it’s a steal. I paired it with a decent amp, and it’s handling the power without any issues. If you're after good bass without breaking the bank, this sub definitely delivers!

I got this and the lower-tier TPT-T1500-15 D4 at the same time, the 15 for my home stereo (since I only have a few hundred watts to play with) and this 12 for car audio. Timpano seems to make pretty decent subs to be honest, even though I have seen very mixed (often pretty negative) reviews on their speakers and tweeters. This is a fairly beefy 12, especially for the price. Seems to handle near-rated power just fine so far, but since it is a brand I am not yet too familiar with I dont want to risk pushing it too hard and blowing it because it might not handle rated. Id say run it at 1000w (MEASURED, not estimated) and if you want to get a little more bang, turn it up little by little over a decent span of time, watching for it starting to smell or get too warm, and back off the gain. Till someone puts these through a proper torture-test, I wouldnt risk it. Bigger brands like American Bass I would say crank it, like I have my new American Bass Godzilla 15 on 8k watts RMS right now even though it rated for under 5k, and it doesnt break a sweat even after 2-3+ hours non-stop (on music, not comps or burping).
