I expected literally to dump this in a drawer and never use it... When it arrived I was absolutely shocked how much it can do and how useful it is! Extremely sensitive, picks up local radio stations with a stubby antenna. Internal calibration. Measurements. Also has a frequency readout - automatic for strongest signal or manual. TDR function with software app - find length of cables and locate breaks. MUCH, much more. Worth every penny! Even has a touch screen to be able to enter data. My only complaint is that the frequency readout is off by a few KHZ - not a showstopper, just don't use it to calibrate or verify the exact frequency. This one is a keeper! Oh, and now there is a mod to be able to audibly hear the signals...

I bought this just to play with and see what I could do with it in my electronics shop. Turns out it's already paid for itself. Very powerful and accurate SA, for the price. I use it coupled to my PC with the free software you can download. A great tool. I 've used it for monitoring frequencies for activity, looking at transmitter outputs, carriers, and also, non-contact analysis and testing of local oscillator performance in tube radio repair. A great little thing. Very happy with the purchase. Also, there's a raft of YouTube videos on how to get the most out of your TinySA.

SA Ultra works well enough for spectrum, at least to 800MHz. Cal port is +977.5MHz for mixing down to IF. Tracking will require an external mixer to subtract 977.5MHz. Big glitch between SA and Ultra ranges at around 800MHz as some filters are bypassed. Cal output is extremely weak and may need amplification as well as mixing. Big list of caveats it doesn't do well in Ultra mode you may only learn when visiting the site for a free code to enable the option. Ultra is disabled by default, and I can measure reasons why.Not a ripoff for what it is, but disappointed by suggested extra features that rely on external crutches.

It is very small and works OK. If you need a very good professional spectrum analyzer then this may not be for you. If you want a small spectrum analyzer that can do simple things for yourself then this might fill your needs very well. I bought this for myself and simple things for my Amateur Radio hobby which it seems to do very good.

Unit passed initial self-test then was put away for later use. Next time it was turned-on it the MENU page was locked in the list with OFF filled-in at the top. Nothing would enable any other selection BACK only made the page go away. Entire waste of money.Chuck Barbeau

For it's size, it is very accurate. Better than spending hundreds and hundreds on a full blown spectrum analyzer when it's not needed.

It performs fairly well especially considering its size. It has a small glitch in that the number entry for a particular setting seems to already have a number highlighted, but it seems to have no bad effect. It allowed me to see the signal strength on my antenna for each ATSC channel, and also the background noise. i measured the strength using a purchased RF amplifier which allowed me to see that the amplifier also amplifies the background noise and therefore does not improve the signal to noise ratio. For this reason the amplifier makes no improvement to signal quality on the TV. Measurements were done near the -100 dBm noise floor.

Works great for my UHF wireless microphone application to ensure I choose the right frequency channels
