The Custom Platinum pro is an awesome gun. However, note that the mask this seller gives is NOT the same mask as the one you get when you buy the gun/tank/mask pack offered by Tippman. This seller sells the gun, mask, gas bottle as 3 separate items, but Tippman sells a "pack" with all 3 in one box. The mask Tippman includes in their pack is of much higher quality (in my opinion) than the one sold by this seller. Having said that, this seller send the stuff quickly. I am just disappointed that it is not the same mask as the one Tippman gives out as that one is a better mask.

I want to start out by saying that I have owned several Tippmann guns and have been extremely satisfied. I purchased two of the tippmann 98 Custom packages and had probelms with both right from the start. The first gun was missing the two plug screws on the right side. The gun would still shoot without them but CO2 would blow out the side of the gun. The second worked well for about 50 rounds then the trigger started to stick. You would have to work the bolt to get it to release. The seller (Ultimate Paintball) was no help at all. I called over 20 times in three day before getting someone in customer service only to be told that I should call Tippmann directly. Tippman's customer service group was pretty easy to deal with. They sent be the missing screws and helped me with the trigger as well. These are great guns, but I will not buy from this seller again.

All around good package for the beginner. Now I can see why they sell a package with a "sniper" barrel. It does shoot hard but not super accurate, but I guess when you can shoot as fast as this one shoots you can hit them with a spray.

gun is amazing have played with it works great.But the mask is crap it is uncomfortable you will sweating like you never have sweat before it's horrible thats why i got an proto they are great and cheap.

I already have the Tippmann A5 and I decided to buy the Tippmann 98 Custom Platinum for my son so we both can go out and have some fun with them. they both are extremely similar with one of the only editions that the Tippmann 98 custom needs is the cyclonic ball feeder which makes it just like the tipman A5 a very customizable gun and very happy with my purchase
