The material is soft enough and flexible enough to allow you to bend the probe to make it fit a particular situation. Don't expect it to be stiff enough that you can push it in like a needle.

Ordered 9 of these, and they work well with the equipment I use. These come with connectors on the end, but I cut them off and used them hardwired. Color coding on the wires isnt correct for sensor types, so had to figure out polarity. If you plan on plugging them in this shouldnt be an issue. Out of my 9, one was incorrectly packaged and a different sensor type.

Great probe. Is actually bendable too. You just want to use a round object like a pipe or a little tube bender if you have one.

I'm happy with the performance of this thermocouple, even though it is pricey. I use it in a wood fired pizza oven and needed something that I could curl in a circular shape under the baking stone - and could handle the 1000ºF temps. This fit the bill. I checked the accuracy against an infrared thermometer and it was within 1º which is just fine for my use. I liked it so much I ordered another one!

I'm a Service Technician & this temperature probe is great for getting super accurate temperature readings when checking oil temperature. I can show my customers the actual temp & what the fryer temp probe is reading, this can help your customer SEE the difference. Love it & highly recommend it.

I'm not a fan... approximately 7 degrees off from Fluke and my other probes @ temps around 400 (for average temp)... plenty of time for diameter to not make any difference for temp averaging. Nice materials, but poor accuracy.

Probe bends way to easily.

We bought this so we could measure the max. environmental temperature (MET) of the hot air between the outer case and the drum of our coffee roaster. Being thin, it was easy to install by drilling a tiny hole in one of the screws that affixes the front plate to the roaster body. Because it is thin, it reacts quickly to changes in the heater temperature setting. Incidentally, it is not suitable to use in the drum to measure bean temperature (BT) because the beans would hit it and bend it. Another good feature is that it can be bent. Our previous thermocouple (well known brand name) quit working when we bent it 90-degrees to better route the wire, even though we used an approved radius. Price-wise this thermocouple is about the same as all the others, so 3-star for that. We tested the temperature from freezing to boiling and it was spot on. So, 5-stars for all the rest.
