100% pressure and leaking test in water, the silver plated will have rusty spot. No affect on use . Some contry couldn't allow color plated ,so I will deliver silver plated.

My original switch forced me to push pretty hard on the brakes before the lights would come on. This one comes on pretty quickly. Much better.

The switch is a direct replacement for a switch I installed 6 years ago on my Manx style VW buggy. It definitely switches on the brake light with light pedal pressure. I can’t speak to its long term reliability as I installed it a day ago. Make sure you use teflon tape or red locktite to prevent leakage.

This is a nice upgrade to an old mechanical brake light switch. I'm adding it to my truck build to replace the mechanical switch. I am not sure how to mount this, as in where and how to secure it. Possibly through the firewall? Have to see if it has the threads to manage that. I am not sure if this design is going to seal well. A bit concerned about if the 1/8NPT type is going to prevent leaks. It tested ok, and should be a good upgrade if we can keep it from leaking.

Item works great and brake lights come on sooner. I did need to use thread sealant on threads to stop it from leaking.
