This kit uses the Half Cross Stitch, not the Continental or Basketweave Stitch as yes, you will run out of yarn if you are stitching using those stitches.

If the instruction are followed you will have plenty of yarn. The directions state to use the half cross stitch - which requires less yarn.

this is the first time in my fifty y ear needlepoint history that the yarn in each color to complete the canvas was severly lacking I had to go to leftover yarn from previous kits to try to match the colours and yarn texturenot an easy choregreatly disappointed

First kit dud not have enough yarn to complete. I have been doing needlepoint for decades and NEVER run out of yarn. I ran out of yarn on every color. Had to order and pay for a second kit to complete first kit.
