This is a very high quality product. Easy to install, effective at keeping pests (including the bear kind) out of garbage can and looks professionally installed. I augmented the kit with aluminum plates on the inside of the garbage can, mounting the outside plates to them sandwiching the garbage can plastic between the supplied plate with loop and my homemade inner plate to prevent the plastic from tearing if force is applied to the cables. Highly recommended. I will purchase again.

I bought this item for my four commercial trash cans I bought. I only use one string for each trash can. I put it in the middle on the trash can. It is super easy to install. So far it does it’s purpose. Keeps the trash can close until we have to open them to throw garbage. The strings are very strong and durable. I recommend

I put these on my trash container. The biggest problem was it came with no bolt washers. I knew that would not work. We have bears getting into our trash and they would just ripe the bolts out without large washers. After installing the strapres with 1.5" washers on each end. It was ready to find out if they worked.The bear came in last night a tried to get into the trash can for over 30 minutes, with no success. He through that can all over and still was unable to succeed. Good product, just need large washer before installing the strapes.

I had an annoying bear getting into my garbage. I installed these with some large fender washers (not supplied) to keep the bolts from ripping through. I also added larger carabiners. But they work! Take that bear!!!

We live in a heavily forested area but don’t have a garage or storage area where we can keep our garbage bins put away. Every week I was cleaning up garbage from the mess made by the bears (understandably so!). Ordered these and we haven’t had an issue since. Bears kept coming back trying to open it but with no luck, they seem to have moved on. We only used two of the four and they are strong enough to keep the bears out for our small-ish garbage can. May have to use all four if it’s a larger garbage can. Very happy.

This product works well on my green waste and garbage bins. My neighbourhood has bears regularly, and until I purchased and installed these locks, my garbage was attacked and spread around almost twice a week. Since I got these locks, the bins get knocked over, but the lids don't open. Until the bear can remove carabiners, he can't get into the bins.Great product; wish I'd ordered them sooner.
