I like the plastic covered wire that will not chafe shade sail fabric nor aggravate hands. A very simple fastening system to use to secure the wire around the metal eyes. But it is this last that is a problem since while the little securing sleeve does create a secure set up, it is only secure until the wind blows. Half my connections sprung loose with the first wind gusts that were not that strong. So I had to go to my local hardware store and buy 1/8" Wire Clamps that I added to the set up which fully secured the connections. Shade Sails are indeed sails and wind will put a lot of strain on the security of the eyes that connect to the sail and the whatever you use to secure the sail to whatever you connect the sail to at each corner. So if you use this wire for shade sails, you will need to also buy some. I bought eight and then two more since I also used the wire to stretch across the narrow "waist" of the sail to help support it in the middle.

I really liked this, I got to hang some hanging potted plants but it was heck to use only because I am not that strong and I am not sure I had the right tool to clamp the thing closed. I looked on Amazon for the type of tool I'll need and it looked similar to one of the tools I had so I used it. It helped but it didn't clamp it shut hard enough. So it's either me or the wrong tool, not the product's fault. Wish this had an option on selling the right clamping tool with it.

This worked well to put out shade sail up and the lengthy was not to much. The down side is the clamps have come undone a few times with wind.

Quality materials and easy to put together. Wire is coated to withstand weather conditions. Used them to hang a sunshade over my deck and hang planters on my porch. Best way to squeeze the clamps is to use a hammer on a hard surface. Would definitely purchase again if needed.

Video shows a simple installation using pliers. This is a lie, if you follow the video these will come loose in the first strong wind.I am a powerlifter with a grip strength beyond 99.9% of the population. I could not come close to crimping these with regular pliers. It requires a specialized crimping tool not shown in the video.

Needed this to mount a bird feeder from a high branch on a tree. Easy to cut with diagonal cutters, then simply crimp the wires in the aluminium sleeves. I used a vice, but pliers would do the job. does what it needs to for my job. wire say stainless, only time will tell.

These were just right for the job (bracing a garden structure against winter storms) - good quality components matching their description. My only problem was not anticipating the crush strength of the clips - my hand crimper was really far from being able to crush them onto the wire. Not the fault of the vendor, of course - maybe some advice on the crimping tool required might help newcomers such as myself?
