  • No. Infrared detectors mainly detects the long-wave infrared region of 8~14μm, and can only be used to measure surface temperature.

  • The temperature resolution of the TC001 is ±2%. And the TC001 provides a normal temperature range of -20~150°C (-4~302°F), and a high temperature range of 150-550°C (302~1022°F). Please select the corresponding range in the app before measuring.

A thermal camera is one of those things I've always thought would be nice to have, but never needed one enough to buy one. These cameras are at a price point that helps them make more sense, and they work incredibly well. I did have to buy a little USB-C adapter so that I wouldn't have to remove my phone's case every time I used it, but they're cheap and it works fine without a case on the phone, too. It's definitely accurate enough for chasing down leaks and finding hotspots. Actually, testing it against regular thermometers, it's pretty much been on the nose. It seems well-built and the case keeps it protected when it's not in use. The visual camera overlay is a super-nice feature as well. I wouldn't hesitate buying it again.

Purchase this because I needed a good thermal camera for checking on my beehives in the winter when the temperatures have dropped to ensure they are alive in there. It works great for that, but I've also found other uses for it and would recommend this thermal camera.

As many others have stated, the camera begins reading it's own temperature and creates a color gradient across the image making it completely unusable after a couple minutes.Fortunately there is a not entirely obvious fix where you can calibrate the camera on a matte black surface. You want to make sure it's uniform or else you'll always have a faint texture or pattern in your images lol.Overall it's pretty fantastic and lots of fun to play with. Great for any homeowner and especially old home buyers like me.Powers up quick, works for as long as your battery will power it, slim profile, nice snug case, connectivity to phone has been rock solid so far.Only gripe is the 'dual view' pictures don't line up thattt great. I have calibrated a few times but the fact is it's using two separate lenses so the images will never truly be identical.Overall a great value compared to other name brand options.

Started return process already within 30 minutes of opening. Clicked on everything possible in app trying to correct without success.Top right corner showed slightly warmer at first and within a minute of turning it on would just stay at hottest range. Even aimed at floor, no matter where pointed top right of screen showed hotter at all times. As seen in all pictures I added, top right fades to hot, but when moved that same area always shows hot.When pointed vertical to look at ceiling it kept showing full yellow, even with scale locked. I spent half the time I had it on just to get the vent in included picture to be visible.Locking scale by clicking on lock (whether lock icon shows open or closed) doesn't not lock the scale. Really difficult to try to use this camera to get a reference of temp in more than one frame.It shows temp of aiming point cross in center and other couple points, but if aimed at those points shows a 5⁰C difference in temp.If it wasn't for the deteriorating performance of top right progressing quickly within first use, I might keep it just for getting a rough idea of hot cold spots, but I can't trust it to not become worthless just after return window.As a mechanic by trade, I've been hearing good things about top don diagnostic equipment so thought this would work well. I even bought the 2 lenses plus version. Very disappointing to see the top right third of the screen become useless within minutes.

WARNING - If you use a protective cell phone case on your Android phone, the infrared device will 'not' plug-in properly. I now have to incur the additional cost of buying an USB-C extender for my cell phone and Topdon. I don't have this issue with my Anker battery bank - they made allowances for a protective cell phone case. Why would Topdon think people would not use a protective case on their cell phone? Flawed design.

As an Architect and contractor I needed to know where the insulation was missing or insufficient in a historical home's attic without ripping open holes. I was very pleased by how easy it was to use and the clarity of the images. It has a ton of different customization settings and the ability to save them directly to my Samsung S23 means I can show my client the images right away. It's sensitive enough that the steel wall studs clearly show up making it even more useful! I'm sure I'll find even more ways to use it. Sturdy carrying case with room for cables means I don't lose anything and it stays safe. Great value and very happy

After using it for a month I found it to be really good you have to make adjustments to the temperature range. Periodically that's in the software but it is really awesome works really good the great at finding parasitic draw circuits finding plug catalytic converters and burn valves also able to find problems in electrical systems

Por desgracia, no funciona con el Samsung A55 5G, modelo SM-A556B/DS.La imagen aparece unos segundos y luego ya no aparece mas, la app se cuelga y no hay nada que hacer. He probado de reinstalar, calibrar, reiniciar... nada.Frustrante por absurdo.Voy a devolverlo, que remedio.Actualizo pasados unos días: devolví la cámara sin problemas y pasados unos días me ha contactado el soporte de Topdon para oferecer su ayuda en lo que pudiera ser, pero tratándose de un tema de compatibilidad y como ya había devuelto la cámara no ha habido mucho que hacer. He sugerido que con la información del producto en Amazon indiquen qué modelos de móvil son compatibles y cuales no, al menos los que les consten.Dado que la devolución de la cámara se hizo sin problemas y que el soporte existe y tiene buena disposición, subo la valoración, dado que la cámara en sí me sigue pareciendo un buen producto, y el problema es la incompatibilidad y no haber podido disponer de esta información antes de comprar

fonctionne très bien pour chercher les ponts thermique pendant les travaux d isolation avant de mettre le placo et la fonction superposition d image avec la camera en plus aide bien par rapport a la tc001 standard

商品説明通りに快適に使えています。スマホケースを付けているとちゃんと刺さらないかも、と思いましたが、私のケースならギリギリ大丈夫でした。特に厚みがあるわけでも薄さを歌っているわけでも無い普通の透明のケースです。厚みのあるケースだとダメかもしれません。一点だけ、他社品では任意の指定ポイントの温度表示ができる機能がありました。購入前は、真ん中と一番温度の高いポイントが自動で分かれば問題無いかなと思って本製品にしたのですが、使ってみると、ここの温度が知りたい！となります。カメラをずらして中央をそこに合わせればいいのですが、複数ポイントの温度が知りたくなるのです。他社製品では４ポイントの任意の場所の温度が分かる、とのことだったですが、そのような機能が欲しいです。他社品にすれば良かったかというと、そういうわけではありません。他社品にはビジュアルカメラ機能が付いていなかったので。どちらも欲しい機能です。任意の場所の温度表示はソフトウェアで対応出来そうな気がするので、是非対応して欲しいところです。
