This mat is a dream come true and I've been telling all my friends about it so I figured it was worthy of a 5-star review.I am a dancer but I also work and game at a standing desk, so it's great being able to stretch and manipulate my feet when I'm between sessions. This is so much better than just standing around in sneakers or on a traditional mat. Being able to do that coveted stair-lift stretch brings joy to my dancer heart and relieves sore feet so much more efficiently than traditional floor stretching. The edges and the little ball in the middle have just the right amount of squishy resistance that my feet need to stay flexible and it's also great if you find you're a fidgety person that struggles standing in one spot for too long. I can stand on this thing for hours without getting foot fatigue. I will be requesting one of these at all my workplaces.I try to only buy things on Amazon that I'll plan to use over a long period of time because I care deeply about our planet and don't want to add to the growing mountains of waste in our landfills and oceans. I'm not disappointed with the quality of the materials or the thickness and can see this thing lasting a very very long time.I rarely write these kinds of reviews so if I'm here writing this - trust me. It's a good product. The only downside is that it costs so much to ship to New Zealand, and I was worried about the value before it arrived. I'm so happy with it and it was well worth the expense.I can see other ways these types of mats can be useful (particularly for VR gaming) so if the manufacturer is willing to listen, I'd love to spit ball some ideas.

Ok first with the negatives:It does in fact have a smell. Depending on who you are, the smell can be somewhat overwhelming. It smells like plastic and warehouse. What I ended up doing was covering a large t-shirt with some deodorizing spray and then wrapped the shirt around the entire mat. It wraps it with some effort and allows for bare-foot standing without coating your feet in gross smells. I used an old, clean, men's black shirt to match.Now the positives:It works amazingly for standing desks. The ridges around the outside provide great support for your feet and allow you to flex your ankle and toes. The tear-drop in the center is absolutely wonderful on the arches. I've stood for hours and this thing is so plush yet sturdy that I feel minimal wear on my calves. The entire back part is great for stretches. Even the flat part of the mat is leagues above standing on hardwood for 2 hours.The quality of build is excellent. It feels like this mat can last a few years of heavy use. I would imagine the teardrop will flatten more and more as I use it, but it does feel like it's built excellently.I would recommend this for anyone with a standing desk or a security job where you stand in one place for long periods. I can imagine using this daily. I'm sure the smell will clear long before the mat falls apart. Then I can remove the t-shirt if necessary.*Note to anyone who wants to use the t-shirt cover; make sure to wash the shirt if you are barefoot. That shirt is gonna smell like rancid vinegar very quickly without proper washing (you know who you are...)It would be great if the manufacturers could maybe store their products with some kind of activated-charcoal smell remover or something similar. That way they will hopefully be less smelly by the time they get sold and shipped.

I really enjoy this product and the variety of terrain it provides for my feet. I find myself moving a lot more than with a flat mat. The back of the mat is great for calf stretches, too.When I purchased this mat, it was shipped by inHabit Workplace Wellness. The mat I received had a very slippery, oily coating on it, which would even spread around the house on my shoes. A bit of poking around online revealed that there was a batch of mats that had this problem due to a manufacturing mistake.I emailed ErgoDriven directly, and they promptly shipped me a new mat, no questions asked. My replacement mat is not slippery at all. I've read a few other people on here having the same problem, so just know that it's a defect and should be replaced! (Ergodriven is working to recall all the defective mats, but it appears inHabit still has some.)

Schon nach den ersten 10 Minuten Benutzung war ich verliebt.Meine Füße frohlocken und ich konnte heute mehrere Stunden anstatt nur 30-60 Minuten an meinem Schreibtisch stehen bevor ich mich mal wieder hinsetzen wollte.Das Layout der Matte ist genial; es gibt so viele gemütliche und abwechslungsreiche Positionen, und sowohl meine Sohlen als auch meine Fußgelenksehnen sind so entspannt wie sonst nie.Ich wechsle quasi mehrmals pro Minute leicht oder komplett die Position, aber es lenkt nicht vom Arbeiten ab.Stattdessen macht es sogar richtig Laune eine gute Dehnposition zu finden.Die ganze Matte ist super, aber vor allem der Tropfen in der Mitte und der hohe "Damm" hinten machen diese Matte um Welten besser als alles was ich davor versucht habe.Die Matte ist schon ziemlich teuer und ich musste 5 Wochen warten bis die Matte versandt wurde (danach ne Woche Versand + Zoll), aber es hat sich vollkommen gelohnt!Anmelden für 7 Jahre Garantie nicht vergessen!

If you get a standing desk, you’ll need a mat to reduce fatigue. Not just a flat mat, but one with contours to stretch your feet in different ways and move around with a sturdy material with some give for comfort. It’s not cheap but the benefits are felt straight away and you can use your weight to apply pressure in various places which almost acts as a massage. I stand the entire working day on this and happily recommend it.

I sit at my computer for many hours every day, which was causing my already bad back and legs to get worse. First solution (aside from good office ergonomics and more exercise) was getting a good stand-up desk. That helped somewhat, but after a few minutes of each 'standing' session (in sock or shoes on a hard floor) my back, legs, knees and feet were killing me.That's when I decided I needed a good mat and based on all the reviews I went with Topo Mat. It's been a game changer. I can now stand for *much* longer periods of time between sitting intervals without much if any back/leg/knee/feet pain.I believe that this mat is so effective because it's clearly superior quality in its construction. I also appreciate the design, with the elevated edges around the outside of the mat, the 'ball' in the middle, etc. - all of which give me many options for changing the position of my feet/stance while working, which is important for further alleviating my back/leg/knee/feet pain.Yes it's pricier than other mats, but in my experience it's totally worth it and a great value. Highly recommended.

Ho preso questo tappeto dopo aver visto il video del kickstarter da cui è nato, il quale è stato molto convincente nel elencare tutti i comfort. Usando una standing-desk ho voluto provarlo e devo dire che agli inizi sembra scomodo, bisogna prendere abitudine prima di tutto a stare sul posto, nel senso che il tappeto copre un'area specifica e non si può muoversi liberamente da una parte all'altra della scrivania. Il problema fondamentale l'ho trovato dover continuamente spostarlo dal pavimento (e riporlo da qualche parte) nei momenti in cui invece lavoro seduto (la scrivania è regolabile sia per in piedi che per seduto). Alla fine l'ho reso perchè non mi trovavo, ma non vuol dire che non sia comodo per nessuno, penso bisogni abituarsi semplicemente.
