The rivet nut tool set works exactly as advertised and has proven to be very useful, well worth the money and I would definitely recommend it to others. The instructions are easy to follow and the tool is easy to set up to use each time. The number of rivet nuts provided in the set are adequate to get your started for most projects and they did a good job of providing more smaller sized rivet nuts as those will most likely be the ones used more frequently. The only somewhat negative comment is that the carrying case (hard plastic) and insert (soft plastic) to hold the wrench in place inside the case are a bit flimsy - but for the price I thought it was adequate.

If you use the larger size rivnuts , I needed an M8 , you need a lot of arm strength to squeeze the rivnut tool, I am a somewhat fit senior but I couldn’t manage it. I had to use a different tool to use the M8.

I was increasing the battery power in an electric scooter. The battery case was too small, so I extended it. One of four bolt holes securing the battery case had stripped out months ago. I was using a nut and bolt to secure it.I worry about nuts and bolts coming loose with vibrations. And now I needed all four bolts to be changed out. Rather than use nuts, inserts seemed much better. Inserts really are the best solution here...Never used one of these kits before so was kinda hesitant. The step-by-step instructions are well written and easy to follow. I assembled the 6mm mandrel on the clamp, put a 6mm insert on it.I drilled of the pre-threaded holes a bit larger, to to fit a 6mm insert. I think it was 11/64 drill bit, the closest I had to the recommended hole size. Stuck the insert in that hole. It expanded no problem. Very simple process. It does take some strength to compress even soft aluminum inserts. Need two big strong hands at least so ladies take note.I'm going to get some steel inserts, just because aluminum threads are soft and relatively weak. Those steel insert are likely to be even harder to compress. But it's worth it. It's a neat, clean, secure finish to this job.

Item worked well but I received it with missing bolts and broken plastic that held the tool in box.

I have a 70s coach that’s been converted to an RV, and the side view mirrors were just sort of screwed into the bus’s sheet metal using large diameter self tapping screws. When I got the bus, a few of the holes on the sheet metal were wallowed out and the mirrors were loose. These allowed me to make a much more robust solution with quality bolts, rather than screws. No issues using the tool at all!

This was a perfect solution to spots I cannot fit my hand on the back side of , metric is a plus ! Also a bit of a tip use a little bit of anti seize to make it easy to remove the insert part later 😅

Good tool, has great use case but very easy to breaks rivnuts as it can over tighten
