I just received this product, so I can't speak to longevity. Also, am brand new to this hobby, so my experience to travel bag requirement and features is extremely limited. This telescope bag is a great value for a low budget option. I have a Celestron 130eq, and I probably could have gone with a 30" bag, but decided to go with the 40". I've learned in my life that it's always better to get more than you think you need, because there's always something unexpected. Turns out I was right. I wouldn't have been able to fit the EQ mount in the 30".The material is a fairly sturdy canvas. The zippers are quality and well stitched in. The top flap and opening has a nice wrap around reinforcement that also gives a nice esthetic appearance. The bottom has six hard rubber feet. They are relatively small, which wouldn't be a problem if there were a solid material insert used to keep the bottom flat. This allows the bottom of the bag to sag and touch the ground between the feet.It has hand straps with a velcro fastening pad to hold them together. These straps are well stitched and wrap around the entire bag, reducing the risk of ripping from the bag or breaking. It also comes with a shoulder strap. It's plenty sturdy. There is a comfort pad, but it is thin and won't do much after extended periods of carrying. The shoulder strap connects to loops at supposing corners at the top of the bag. These loops are attached with stitched straps, and o don't expect them to hold up for the life of the bag. I fully expect them to rip out at some point. The interior is similar to what you would find in most camera bags, as it's lined with soft material. It's a single compartment with no pockets. There are two pairs of straps with plastic clips that allow strap length adjustment. One pair of straps is attached at the bottom against a long edge. I assume this set is meant for the tripod. The other pair are attached at the bottom with space between where they are attached allowing for a larger object. I assume this set is for the telescope tube. The bag also includes one large divider and two small dividers. They each have a velcro strip on one edge for attachment. I wish they had velcro on the adjacent two edges to create a sturdier divider. There are only two pockets on one of the long sides of the bag. Each pocket is half the length of the bag, equal height as the bag, and about two inches deep. There are no inserts, pockets, straps, or dividers in these pockets for organization. It would have been nice to have organization features sized for common telescope accessories, but the price point negates that. They could have added more pockets on the other the sides of the bag, but the two pockets are adequate for the accessories I have.Overall, this bag is well worth the $50 price point. If your budget doesn't allow for a more feature rich option, I would absolutely recommend this purchase. It'll get the job done.

Grabbed this great bag to store and tote our Celestron telescope around in, and man... what a surprise value this is!Really well-built... the construction is high-quality, and the stitching is fantastic. It just feels very well built and heavy-duty, but is a fairly lightweight bag overall. The padding feels good, and seems to offer solid protection without being a big, bulky mess. The price was far less than the Celestron bag, yet stores everything needed for the telescope in nearly the same manner as much pricier options.I'd highly suggest this bag if you're looking to haul your investment around. Bear in mind, this one does not have wheels, BUT the shoulder strap is very well balanced, making carrying a breeze (even for someone who requires a cane). Awesome value, and a great purchase.

There is confusion in the listings for these Toribio cases (or they changed). I originally purchased the 30" bag as the telescope fits nicely in it. The tripod however does not. After I purchased the 30" and got this 40", the listings changed to a 35" bag (which would be almost perfect for this scope and tripod). The 40" fits the StarSense Explorer LT and the tripod really well. There's a little more room in it than I'd like, but the movable interior panels help with that a lot. All the accessories fit into the pockets and the padding seems to be more than adequate to protect things and it sure makes carrying all the elements around a lot easier.

This suited my purpose exactly. I am using it to carry an R/C helicopter. The fitted box it came in fits perfectly inside this case. And there’s plenty of storage for batteries and tools.

This bag is well constructed for it's size and price. Although it's not exactly "shockproof" as I've seen it described in other posts, the padding is thick enough to protect its contents from scratches and/or a light bump. Internally, this thing is enormous! I was able to pack my full outdoor theater setup inside with room to spare (120" screen with side stands, projector (*inside its retail box), surround sound system with woofer, two satellite speakers & soundbar, telescoping stand for projector). The outer material seems durable and the dual zipper system appears to be well-stitched and strong. I guess only time will tell but for now, I am very happy with this purchase!

I reused the original packaging foam and made this the perfect case for my Explore Scientific AR127 telescope and accessories. No room for my tripod but that’s to be expected. I see a thread starting already along the top, so I expect needing to repair it before too long. I recommend inspecting the bag before every use to make sure it doesn’t fail during loading/unloading equipment from your vehicle.

Holds my scope in place with padding between scope and tripod to prevent damage. Also straps to hold everything in place. Two small pockets on front hold all extras. I think this will be a good case, only received it a week ago so know idea on durability. My main concern was that everything stayed in place inside bag and nothing moved around too much to damage scope.
