[#42 48 34; 3,000 count). What was received?I received a super sturdy, sealed, rectangular, brown cardboard package, with brand and basic information printed on the exterior. I like the box was fully sealed, as this gives me peace of mind the towels were not exposed to the elements, dirt, dust, and such, when transported).Size of package? The package these arrived in measured at “about†13½†x 9¾†x 9¼â€, is hilariously smaller than a regular sized box of 1-ply towels, which averages about ‎20½ x 9¾†x 9.25 inches (although there are more bundles of towels, but at a lesser quantity of towels per bundle).Weight of package? The package size, although small, is unusually heavy, at near (11)LBS, by comparison, the average single ply package weighs in at about (18) pounds. What was inside?Inside were (12) bundles of single ply paper towels.Brand?Tork Xpress – which is an excellent brand for paper towels.Bundles of paper towels? There are (12) bundles of towels within the box (package) these arrived in, by comparison, an average sized 1-ply box of towels has (16) bundles.Size of a bundle?About 8.40†x 3.45†x 2.625†– a bundle of 2-ply towels measures in at about 9.125†x 3.375†x 5.125†– I just had 2-ply to compare – the idea is simply to show the bundles are smaller and thinner. Why so small? The towels are compressed, making for a smaller package and bundle.Weight of a bundle?About (12.9) ounces, whereas the average bundle of 2-ply is about (13) ounces.Quantity per bundle? Each bundle of these towels is (250) towels, which is the same are other single ply; whereas the 2-ply average about (135) towels per bundle.Total quantity of towels?(3,000)How many folds per towel?Three (3) folds.Any design?Yes, classic Tork Xpress leaf design on the towel.Size of each paper towel? Each 3-fold towel measured about 8.3125†which is smaller than the listed 8.39†x 9.45â€, by comparison, the average towel measures 9½†x 9.125â€, so over (1â€) in width smaller.Universal dispenser fit?No. These towels are smaller in width, therefore, are not as secure in face down universal dispensers, which have an average dispensing opening at about (9â€) to about (9¼â€). Again, I measured these towels at about an 8.3125†width, so, when being pulled-out, they will tend to fall out or pull out in bunches, rather than a single towel dispensing.Do they dispense well in a tray dispenser? Not really. They are so compressed, that pulling a single towel brings others with it.Best universal dispenser?Face-up – countertop dispenser. I use these with a face-up counter-top dispenser, and they are the best thing for that, as there are almost twice as many towels in a bundle, and they dispense perfectly.Feel of cotton?I find each towel is soft, but a tad coarse feel too, with a slight texture feel that is on the cotton, rather than paper side.Lint? These produce near zero lint.DurabilityTensile strength is better than expected for a 1-ply, which typically shred easily, wet or dry. When drying my hands with a single towel, about 90% of the towel stays intact. I have placed these aside to dry, and although not as strong when fresh, they have about (50%) of their strength on a second dry or make for an excellent clean-up towel.Absorption?Excellent for water and excellent for soaking up grease and cooking oils.Performance? These really seem to suck up liquids on the first wipe [or the occasional two], but they have their limitations, as they are small and just single ply.Gifting?Would be an unusual gifting opportunity, but I’d appreciate it. The presentation is nice as the box is informative.Use of paper towels? The whole idea of paper towels is freshness. These start to gain bacteria after each use and I use more of these paper towels that I care to admit; however, good reason, we have small children and we are always washing, washing, and washing someone’s hands. Cotton towels just kept getting water saturated and piling up to wash too fast.ValueThese carry a premium price, of about (30%), however, when I consider these are more durable and absorbent, and just feel much better, than the average towel, then I justify their expense. Although, I do like a bargain, for my wallet. So, look for sales or monthly delivery discounts.Made where?Made in the U.S.A., hooray, however, of domestic and imported (undisclosed) materials.FSC certified?Yes, mixed. What is FSC?Forest Stewardship Council (FSC) certified. It identifies products made from a mix of materials from FSC-certified forests; controlled wood sources that meet FSC standards; and materials that have been recycled – which have a combination of certified and non-certified materials while still adhering to responsible forest management practices.Aroma?Fresh, light, clean paper smell. Not objectionable.Rating?Weak five (5) stars. The imported sources are not identified; the material is FSX “mixedâ€, and these are proprietary. Otherwise, everything else about them is excellent, as noted above.I hope my thoughts added some information.

I’ve tried pretty much all of the multifold towels that fit the same branded dispenser as these towels, and these are not the worst, but they also don’t feel like they are the best value. The pros: small compact / compressed packaging (really about half the size of most boxes with this many towels), nice leaf design, pretty absorbent for a single ply towel. The cons: for $6 more you can buy the same branded towel that is double ply, much more absorbent, a little softer, and also decorative with the leaf design. I’ve included a picture, so you can see how well they absorb 1 tbsp of water. It takes 2 towels for pretty much every job, which isn’t completely surprising, but not a great value.
