I love this salt cellar! It’s the perfect size for storing salt, and the bamboo material gives it a sleek, natural look. So many choices on this nice bamboo box but in the end I got the “Take Life With a Grain of Salt†version. This is something you will be proud to have on your kitchen counter. I like that the lid sides to the side and doesn’t come off because that means I don’t have to try to keep up with a lid and that annoying, “Where did I put it?†thing that always happens when you are busy cooking and don’t pay attention to where you place things.The salt box has a 3 ½ inch diameter and is 2 ¾ inches high. It’s a beautiful color and well-made. I love it’s made out of Moso bamboo because bamboo naturally replenishes itself and grows back fast, and by using bamboo we save other trees.I bought this one to put my sea salt in but now that I’ve gotten it I want to get another one for the lemon flavored specialty salt I just got. My problem will be to decide which one to get! You don’t have to use it for salt though; it can be used for a variety of things. You could store earrings or other jewelry, buttons, paper clips or herbs. The sky’s the limit.There’s one box with a Christmas message that would make a great stocking stuffer or small gift for someone you need to give a gift but don’t want to spend a lot of money. Believe me they will be impressed! This would also make a great housewarming or shower gift.Very satisfied with the functionality and beauty of the Moso bamboo salt box and highly recommend it.

Great size. It's larger than the other one I have that holds my regular salt. This one will hold my Kosher salt. Now I need to get one for my Sea Salt. It will be one without writing on it but different from the plain one I have so I can tell the difference.This one is still great and very much giftable. The lid swings open easily and it doesn't come off so that's not a problem like some reviews I have read.My other one sits on the counter and the saltehas never gotten clumpy so I can't imagine that this one will be any different.I love being able to put a salt spoon or measuring spoon into the containers or just dump salt into the pasta pot. Since I wash my hands frequently when I cook or bake I even like being able to get a pinch of salt when I need one.As for bamboo, well I love it. It looks great, last forever, is a renewable resource. I own many things out of bamboo. Clothes, towels and wash cloths, socks, sheets, reusable"paper" towels, the yarn I use to knit blankets with are all made out of bamboo. I own bamboo canisters and a few other items in the kitchen. So finding bamboo salt cellars has made me very happy.

I bought a salt box from another seller and it had a funky odor, almost like urine! I washed and dried it, let it air for days, then put baking soda in it for a few days. Nothing got rid of the nasty odor.I’d bought one from Totally Bamboo for my salt for baking.Decided to get another from Totally Bamboo with a different phrase on the top, to tell them apart. This one’s for flaked sea salt for steaks. Washed and dried it and no smell! Using it without a problem. Lettering came out perfectly fine as well.I recommend Totally Bamboo salt boxes!!

I'm keeping this because I like the quality and looks ... but it says it holds 6oz, but it does not. The Celtic Flake Salt I buy comes in a 5¾oz container, but it definitely won't hold it all. Since the container has a tight fitting lid, I'll just fill this and keep the extra in the cabinet.

Really convenient way to use a pinch of salt while you are cooking. Easy to open and close and small enough to put on the back ledge of my stove. Delivery was fast and no damage. Very sturdy and has earned a space in my small kitchen! Thank you for a quality product!

Well crafted, sturdy, cute little bamboo box. I love the swivel lid that locks in place magnetically. Not sure that I want to store salt in it. Could be used for any other purpose.

Qué excelente producto, siempre siempre siempre se me quedaba húmeda la sal por no usar el recipiente adecuado para ponerla, desde que compré este producto mi sal siempre permanece seca y se esparce uniformemente en la comida, la verdad muy recomendable
