Definitely waterproof, the box works well. I jammed 2 smart 3 prong outlets in there. So 6 total connections. Was able to fit a lot in there. It protects the cords with these nice rubber grommets and comes with extra grommets. It’s a good value for less than 20$. It mounts with two anchors and screws. Easy install. See my picture, that’s the only way you can install this box unless you drill straight through the bottom.

Worked very well. Sometimes it was difficult to align the cover to the box, but that's probably more a user problem than a product problem.

I have replaced several pump contollers at over $100 each over the years due to corrosion. Even though they are designed for outdoor use, they are made of mild steel and shop painted. I don't think they are powder-coated. My hope is that this waterprrof box will extend the life. It seems strurdy and well-made, and is easy to access for servicing or inspecting the electrical components. More importantly, it will keep the controller and wire terminals (which succumb to corrosion) dry.

I ended up breaking mine in zero degree temps trying to join two super thick cables that were really too thick for this. If I hadn’t been forcing it to close in negative zero temps it would have been perfect.
