Perfect fit for my 00 tundra, shipping was fast, easy to install and the brake lights turn off now. Get it, and keep a spare. If you're like me and wasn't paying attention you'll wake up in the morning to a dead battery, and spend a day trouble shooting things you didn't have to.

My neighbors Ford Mustang had an issue with the brake lights staying on. She went to the dealer and and they quoted her over $1000 to replace the brake pedal assembly. I did some research and found some posts people were saying these will work with the Mustang. I got these, and it fixed the problem perfectly. They were a little hard to get pushed in, until I threaded a string through and pulled it into the brake pedal instead of trying to push it in.

I imagine that if you go to a Toyota dealership and ask for this part, you could probably buy it a LOT cheaper there. However, if you're like me and your closest dealership is miles away through congested traffic and only open while you're working, it is well worth it to just pay the price here and have this part sent to your house. If you're like me and have a Toyota old enough to drink, it's only a matter of time before you notice its brake lights stay on and you see little pie-shaped bits of white plastic on the floorboard. Save yourself the trouble of experiencing this Old Toyota owners' obligatory rite of passage (known as the Brake Switch Pad Crumble) by replacing this part ahead of time. Otherwise, your brake lights will kill your battery while you're not looking.Installation is easy: 1) Pull the emergency brake. 2) Start the car. 3) Move the driver's seat back as far as possible. 4) Crawl under the dashboard and locate the brake switch and corresponding hole on the brake pedal lever. 5) While simultaneously pressing the brake pedal forward with one hand, use the other hand to push the switch pad into the switch button; this gives you enough space to fit the pad between the switch button and the pedal lever. 6) Align the pin with the hole in the lever and release the brake pedal. The pin should snap into the lever hole with a satisfying click. 7) Press the brake pedal again to make sure the pad stays in place. Now your old Toyota should be set for another 20 years.

I had to get the switch out of the way to install it. I could only get one hand up there at a time.
