Why Do We Need to Use TPMS Sensor?
By helping drivers to maintain the proper tire inflation, TPMS sensor can help improve ride and handling, reduce stopping distances, and the potential for hydroplaning. Tire pressure sensors can also increase fuel efficiency and extend tire life. TPMS is designed to monitor the air pressure in a tire and send a warning to the vehicle’s onboard monitoring system when the pressure drops below a preset limit.

What is TPMS?
The TPMS (Tire Pressure Monitoring System) is designed to measure air pressure and alert the driver when the pressure in one or more of the tires is below 25% of the manufacturer’s recommended pressure. There are two types of systems, direct and indirect. The far more utilized and more accurate Direct System uses sensors that are attached to each wheel. These sensors communicate with the vehicle’s TPMS module. The Indirect System typically utilizes the vehicle's antilock braking system’s (ABS) speed sensors to monitor pressure.
Can I Replace the TPMS Sensor by Myself?
Replacing TPMS sensors requires a tire changer. The wheel should be rebalanced after installation. If you or your friend have access to a tire changer and balancer, along with the proper tools for installation of the sensors and the relearn procedure, you could attempt to replace a sensor. However, we recommend you have a reputable repair shop do the installation and relearn.
What to do when your TPMS WARNING LIGHT on?
1. If your TPMS light comes on, and stays on, that means at least one of your tires is at low-pressure level. After knowing that, you should check the pressure of all of the tires with a gauge and add air or service the tire(s) accordingly.
2. If TPMS light goes on and off, it could be caused by fluctuating temperatures in the tire. This could be repaired by checking the pressure of all of the tires and adding air to any tire that is low.
3. If the light flashes for approximately 60 to 90 seconds every time you start your car and then the light stays on, you should inspect the TPMS sensor and maybe need to replace a new TPMS in most cases.
Why do I Need the Tire Pressure Monitoring System Sensor (TPMS) in my Vehicle?
As of the model year 2008, the United States Department of Transportation (through NHTSA) requires an installation of a Tire Pressure Monitoring System to all new passenger cars, multipurpose passenger vehicles, trucks, and buses that have a gross vehicle weight rating of 10,000 lbs. or less (except those vehicles with dual wheels on an axle). The legislation requiring TPMS was passed in reaction to Congressional hearings on vehicle rollover deaths caused, in part, by vehicles with underinflated tires.

Works great on 2010 f150 - I had discount tire install all 4 and it only cost me 100 bucks. Love discount tire. The truck recognized all 4 without issues. Tpms works great now

I purchased these to try and install myself, but quickly found out that is very difficult with low profile tires. I took them to my tire shop and asked how much to install these for me, and they only charged $10 a tire. Great deal considering it costs $60 from the same tire place to purchase an individual sensor. They tested them before installing, and said they work just fine. Now no more TPMS light!

Not a good tire pressure. The moment I received. It's not working already. How much more if I have installed it. The technician check the sensor and said it is defective. It could have been worthless expense if it was installed.

Worth the money!!!I have 2013 Focus SE that had a bad sensor. Message read “Tire press sensor fault.†So I ordered one of these based on reviews. The hardest part was getting access to remove the tire from the rim to get to the old/bad sensor. (No tire removal machine). Once I got past that hurdle it was 85% done. NOTE: You will need to retrain your car. Despite the videos on YouTube that show you how to reset (I.e. press hazards 6 times). You will need to use the retrain method (brake pedal, key on/off with a TPMS tool ) BUT IT WORKS!!!!!

Worked on 2013 ford edge. I do regret not getting these sooner ie when I had my tires installed. Breaking the bead and resetting it was a pain. I bought a bead breaker locally it wouldn't fit my rims so I dropped the rotors on the tire and sometimes had to repeat in different spot. Make sure you have a 4 in 1 tool to pull these in and lubricant the part where it flares outSetting the bead used starter fluid method.Programming I used a small device for position relearn.I was ok with a dash light but the constant beeps and needing to press ok got too annoying.

I paid him a mechanic 80 bucks to put this in the tire and it quit working after a week I am thoroughly pissed off about this one

Acabo de recibir el TPMS y me lo entregaron todo aplastado y abierta la bolsa del sensor. Falta instalar para verificar que funcione correctamente y asi podrÃa cambiar la calificación.
