First, let me confirm that this adapter works with my Alesis SR-16 Drum Machine. In the picture, they don't show the plug that goes into the device (if they had, I might have picked a different one). The cable is a bit short, unlike the one that comes with the SR-16, wish it was a bit longer. The 90-degree plug is problematic because, at an angle, it covers up the foot switch jacks. Because of these 2 negatives, I only gave it 4 stars.

I misplaced my original Alesis 9V AC power supply and rather than hunt through a slew of wall-warts trying to find the right one, I simply ordered this one knowing I will find the original tomorrow lolI did a bit or research and perusal of 9V AC power supply reviews to make sure I was getting the right one the first time. The plug receptacle on the SR-16 is a bit different size than a lot of power supplies standard plug size, but the T-Power 9V AC AC Adapter fit perfectly with no hassle.My other concern was that I was indeed ordering the correct voltage and current output which is of course 9V AC for the SR-16. No problem here either. It's almost as if the T-Power 9V AC AC Adapter is made for the SR-16. My Alesis SR-16 was powered up just minutes after receiving the delivery. Extremely happy customer!!

I had used another power adapter that by all specifications shoukd have worked fine with my alesis sr-16 (early 90s first gen) but had loud noise and I thought it was fried. Bought this adapter, now it works absolutely fine. Not all adapters are equal and you can’t just depend on the specifications sometimes, but this will absolutely work for an alesis sr-16 (again, the early 90d one. Later generations of that use something entirely different)

I borrowed the DM10 drum machine from a friend and he mistakenly gave me a 12V power adapter that fit the module and even powered it, but caused a “calibration fail†message and no sound output. I read in a user forum that weird problems like this are often caused by using the incorrect power adapter. I was shocked, nay electrified, that this was the issue. So I just bought this 9V power adapter, and now everything works fine!

Alesis gear can be fickle. My friend gave me a broken SR-16. His brand new SR-16 had an stock power supply that wouldn't even fit into the old broken one that he just gave me. At home I tried many AC wall wart power supplies from my other equipment. Some lit up the screen, none produced any output. So I rolled the dice and bought this one from Amazon and it lit up and totally works.A++ will buy more of these!

As was said in an earlier review The alesis drum set has to have the 9v ac output to function and this adapter did the trick. My drums work flawlessly with this adapter. Any other one I tried did not work. This is the real mcoy %100 worth the price

This adapter works just like the original. Expensive for what is a basic AC adapter but necessary for DM10 drums to work.
