I was disappointed when my order arrived and the stuff had leaked in the package. I sent them back and they sent me a fresh batch. These dyes are great for chasing down pesky slow anti-freeze/coolant leaks in all the vehicles I maintain. Along with a good UV light and some darkness I can find the water pump that is starting to leak, the thermostat housing that is problematic or the radiator leak that is trying to hide from me or that hose that is starting to give way or the clamp that isn't on right on a hose. A time and money saver for us.

Love these "tracer" products, had a nuisance coolant leak that was intermittent and very hard to find on my daughter's 2007 Saab 9-5 w/ the 2.3t engine. The dye in the cooling system is what made me able to find the leak. The was like I said great price , great product...

I knew I was losing coolant but could not locate the leak even when hot, I put the dye in the coolant tank an drove around to make sure the engine was hot and coolant flowing. Found the "glowing coolant" dripping of the skid plate using the LED leak detector light and followed it back up the engine until I found the leak behind the water pump. Saved throwing parts at the problem.

A drip showed yellow, but after putting a little in my VW pink coolant the leak showed bright purple and was just as easy to find as if it was yellow.

Tracer is my go to dye and this product does the job. Only reasons I gave them 4 stars instead of 5:(1) Listing is incorrect (says Ford Approved, when their catalog says GM Approved). They need to update their listings.(2) They, like other dye manufacturers, need to state on the product the specific wavelength (in nM) for dye absorption so users can use the right light to work with the dye. Long wavelength (as mentioned in the listing), by definition is a fairly broad range (315-400 nM) and as a technician it would be nice knowing how to specifically best match the UV light to a chosen dye as there are three primary types of light (UV @ 365nM, Violet @ 400nM and Blue @ 450nM) used in UV fluorescent leak detection. Each has a different wavelength and is absorbed differently by the UV fluorescent dye. While UV 365 nM is responsive to most dyes, Violet (400 nM) is better with A/C and coolant dye, and some fluid dyes, and Blue (450 nM) while generally considered compatible with all dyes, performs poorly (if at all) with extended life coolant dyes.

Worked as intended. Don't forget to buy a uv light and clean your engine well beforehand. Wear gloves too
