Easy to use. Light weight. I didn't even realize I was wearing it. When your on transmit the LED light is bright to see in daylight. And easy to follow directional symbols.

Thanks for the Avalanche Beacon. Now I need to learn how to use it before some one is in an avalanche. I think it will be great from reading the instructions.

Bought a new Tracker 3 and used for 2 months. Used the beacon during an AIARE avalanche training/rescue course. The beacon severely underperformed in side by side range beacon test to detect transmitting beacon from 20-50 meters away. Device locked on target within 20 meter range however the range test was performed multiple times, resetting device (off/on), and still underperformed to detect transmitting beacon at the maximum 40 meters of range listed by the manufacturer. Sending back to the manufacturer.

Easy to use, compact, carry strap so comfortable keep checking all day to be sure it was still there, light...perfect for mountain sledding, just too bad with all this tech it doesn't have GPS, not just this one but all beacons
