This fits in the brake controller spot in dash of F-150 and is easy to install. I was able to activate with Forscan. Plugs right in if you have towing option.

Cheap Chinese garbage. Should have known just by the feel of it. Tried to install in 2021 Expedition. Module did not fit/sit correctly in the dash slot. When trying to adjust the front cover popped off and the connection cable came with it. Corner tab to keep it flush broke and the module fell inside the dash. Had hell getting it back out. Module was completely unusable. Never got to the set up portion for the vehicle. I'll spend the money for a legit Ford part.

Installed in my truck, used Forscan program to enable trailer brake controller modules in the onboard truck computer. Works just fine.

I purchased this brake controller for my 2018 f150. It fit perfectly. I used Forscan to turn on truck brake controller options, all good.However, unit has no on/off switch and there is no instruction manual available. My question was/is: "How to turn unit on and off."When I asked seller, they didn't know answer and indicated they would try to get info from manufacturer.Frustrating! I suspect it turns on when trailer is detected and turns off some time after ignition is turned off. Need an answer before I tow a 6000# trailer down the road.

Make sure to put the 30amp fuse is slot #24 and use Forscan to download the software. Working great!

It works but, I noticed on a couple really cold days, id run only my floor heater all the way on the Hot setting.. my feet get cold easy... about 20 minutes into my drive to work, I kept getting a message on my dash every few seconds saying.... "trailer brake gain X.X" or whatever it was set to! Couldn't figure out why that message kept popping up and then it dawned on me.. heat was turned all the way up, the floor duct runs right behind the brake controller... maybe it was getting too hot! I turned down the heat and it stopped popping messages up on my dash! Did it the following day as well, tuned my heat down, messages went away! I figured the heat was causing the metal contacts in the controller to bend or flex eaiser... either way, haven't gotten the messages since I quit running my floor heat full tilt!!! Cheap contacts used in the controller, don't know if that's bad or good but.... I'm going to replace it with an authentic OEM fomoco controller!

BATTERY DRAIN!!!This product RUINED my $480 Motorcraft Ford Battery.After installation I began noticing a significant difference in battery life. After installing, frequently I regularly found myself needing to jump the truck or charge the battery.Save your money, buy an OEM part. This Chinese garbage will have you stranded with a dead battery.
