Some of the screws on my cargo trailer were rusting and causing rust streaks, these are perfect. However there were some areas on my trailer that are longer, 1 or 1 -1/4, I probably could have bought the 1 inch instead of 2 sizes, It's not like it would poke through to the inside.

Purchased both the 1/2" and 3/4" versions of these self tapping trailer screws for a full trailer build. Replaced over 100 of each size. After sitting for only a month, I've had to make some adjustments requiring me to back some of these screws out and lo and behold - SNAP - heads are breaking off everywhere. The culprit - extremely cheap metal used in the manufacture!! See photos. They rust almost immediately below surface and weaken. Thankfully I've had access from the inside to use vise grips to turn out the broken threads but on some where I did not have access, my screw extractor bits had NO problem plowing thru the pot metal from the front. Good grief, I now have to yank all these after I locate quality replacements. You've been warned!!!
