Having recently picked up this Item I am astounded with the quality for the price. I have not found another of this style for less than $280, so I was able to save around $100 on this ice axe. The quality is phenomenal, and it it very lightweight but sturdy. If I ever need a second I will certainly buy one more of these

Used and abused these tools for 2 seasons and now on the 3rd. There's nothing fancy about these and they are on the heavy side, but I love them and I have no desire for an upgrade until these are toast. I got mine 130 a piece on sale somewhere else but they are still a great deal for 175.
