What I got is EXACTLY what the description says it is, and I'll be honest it works very well. It's durable, lightweight, the holes are a good size for sifting rocks and twigs and roots out of your soil or dirt.I'm the idiot who didn't see that it was 9"x7". This thing is TINY. But that's on me, not the seller.The product itself? Pretty darn good.

For my purposes I would have preferred a larger one as it was way too small for what I needed it for however, I kept it as a backup for my bigger round one, since it does work. I gave it 4 stars only because I thought it should have been a couple inches bigger.

This has been a perfect tool for what I needed. When I dig a hole for a new plant or tree, I like to sift out rocks, roots, and more importantly, invasive weed bulbs. (We have some sort of clover or sorrel that you can’t eliminate by pulling it out from the stem or root since it has a seed pod underground that keeps regenerating.) I’ve tried the plastic scoops designed for metal detector treasure hunting, but those break too easily. This tool has been great. It’s sturdy enough to seem like it could last a while, but light enough to not be tiresome on your hands when you sift over and over for an hour. The holes are big enough to allow dirt and small debris to pass, but catch everything that I’m trying to remove. My only concern will be rust and how that will affect its longevity. For the price, I’m happy if it only lasts 1-2 years.

For small jobs, this sifter is great! If you own a wheelbarrow and your job is big, you will want a larger sifter, but I use mine with a bucket and it does the job well of sifting out the rocks and weeds from the soil I’ve dug up to make a hole for a new plant. I’m pleased with its sturdy construction and light weight.

Brought this to sift through sand on our trip to the beach. First time out, our daughter got two cuts on her hand from sharp edges. We were going to cover the edges with duct tape to use again, but by morning it was all rusty. We ended up throwing it away! Waste of money :(

Wish there were multiple sizes in this. Had a big job deweeding the garden and this save us so much time! Sifting the soil and getting those pesky weeds out was a godsend! Would highly recommend!
