We have bear issues where we live. I haven’t had to clean up trash in the yard from them getting into our trash can since I added this. Works great and easy to put on and off.

Super simple and easy to install, this strap does the trick even if the elk or javelina knock the can over. Also, it's very affordable. Great solution to a pesky critter problem.

It’s basically a very sturdy rubber band but it keeps the raccoons out of our trash! I was a little confused at first because when you put it on its twisted slightly but we’ve been using it for several months now and so far so good

Solid and well built trash can tie down strap. I have many racoons, bears, and other furry friends that routinely go in my trash. The strap is a wide thick elastic type which is exactly what I was looking for. I only wish the looped tie end had a built-in clasp or hook to secure it. You basically have to tie in a knot on the hinge part of trash can which I'm not crazy about. This will weaken the strap over time especially from the tension and in our cold New England weather. I bought a clip from Home Depot that I attached to the loop end, so both ends have a clip easy to attach and disconnect. Otherwise I'd have to unwind and detach the strap when trash is getting picked up, or wrap it to the trash can so it doesn't flop around. Good strap and I'm ordering another one for the recycling side.

Does the job, easy to use. I was concerned it would be hard to open and close to put in trash but you can just move it aside and rematch it pretty easily. I have not had a raccoon issue since installing these, I would recommend!

The black bear we were trying to keep out of the trash stretched this strap easily, bent the lid up and strew the trash all over. Love the concept - definitely for smaller critter prevention.

Took me a bit to figure out how to set it up, but it works well on even the larger bins in raccoon-plagued Toronto. 4 nights in, haven't had any animals get in.Will it still work when frozen? Who knows.
