Simple to make a great decision. Used Gator Bags in 2005! They were $39 each. A lot of mfg now. This product works just as well.

The bags are very durable and work well. Used all summer in Texas heat and they are still in new shape. They hold a lot of water, but it will drain out in an hour or so. Not a big deal to me since I just want to water the trees and bushes without standing there for hours. If that doesn't bother you then they will do the job. Otherwise, spend the big bucks and buy Treegator bags.

These bags are durable and do such a great job irrigating our trees. We live in south Texas so water evaporates quickly and these bags help prevent that, by releasing the water over several hours. They are also easy to use and a great value for the amount you get. Currently $35.99 for 5 bags.

I live in an area with a dry heat summer. This has been invaluable for keeping our fruit tree watered regularly throughout the season. The bag is durable and has stayed in place all summer. I use a hose to water my plants, and the opening on the bag is perfectly sized to slip the hose in. The tree with this bag looks a lot less stressed than the plants around it. I may be ordering more for next summer!

I live in Central Texas and we're experiencing another HOT summer as usual. The 20 Gallon, Slow Release Gator Bags works perfectly to keep my 5 year old pear tree roots moist during these rainless weeks. It's great when I go on vacations too, so that I don't have to worry about having my neighbor watering my trees. This is a great insurance policy to easy your mind when you forget to water your tree on a regular basis. This product works great and I will be buying more of them for my other fruit trees.

I planted a bunch of tres this spring and now that summer is in full swing, I wish I had one of these for every one of them. Not only does it provide a constant supply of water, but the bag holds moisture and prevents evaporation at least for the area immediately surrounding the tree. I'm constantly finding frogs in these which tells me they're doing a good job of maintaining a moist environment. The filling hole could be a little larger to accommodate larger spray nozzles, but fine if you're just using a hose.
