I bought these for use with my new OneWheel, and I wanted something easy to put onoff, that might protect from road-rash. Seeing these were basically foam and cloth expectations for durability were low, I thought I was buying into some hype, but these pads are legit. Super comfy, but still crazy strong. Obvious a lot of thought went into design and build, thought certainly not the least expensive, after wearing them I can't complain at all about the price, the value of these makes the price surprisingly low. Thanks for the great product! Fast shipping, I only wish I had ordered these sooner. If you are on the fence, I wholeheartedly argue that you just pick these up.

I bought these for riding my OneWheel casually. If I were to be riding hard or expecting to fall hard I would wear something with a hard plastic shell. It doesn’t surprise me that people are still breaking bones with these things, in my mind they’re a comfortable option when I don’t feel like wearing a bulky pad. Basically it’s better than wearing nothing which is what I would be doing otherwise for the pace I ride when wearing these. They easily fit underneath a sweatshirt without it being bulky or restricting my range of motion. They are tight when they are new, I would try wearing them around the house for a few hours prior to going riding. Or possibly stuff them with some towels to stretch out the fabric overnight. I knocked a start off because I think they are overpriced. There isn’t a great alternative and they are capitalizing on that.

I own both the knee and elbow. This review applies to both.BOTTOM LINE - A bit tight and little hot in warm weather, but stay put and have repeatedly saved me. So glad I bought them and would buy them again...SIZE - First off...you may want to go up a size. I'm tall and thin framed (5'11' with skinny legs and arms). I almost always comfortably wear a medium for things like this. I bought a medium and they are tight...real tight! They're so tight that I almost sent them back. In the end I decided to keep them and have easily logged over a 100 miles wearing them. They have loosened up a bit, but are still pretty tight. The elbow pads are tight enough that it's uncomfortable to bend my arm more than 90 degrees with them on. Of course, there's an up side to being a bit tight. These pads don't move at all. They stay put while riding and I've gone done with them a few times and they didn't move.COMFORT - The first ride or two was a bit uncomfortable. The pads weren't necessarily stiff, but did take some time to relax a bit. Nowadays, I don't even know they're on. I've regularly done 1.5+ hour trail rides with no discomfort at all. My only comfort issue...they're pretty well padded and get hot in the summer. I've learned to deal with the heat in exchange for the protection, but it sucks on really hot days. This past summer, we had a solid week in the 100 degree range and I decided to leave the pads at home. Well, I went down in a curve that was slippery due to the very dry conditions. I wasn't hurt, but got pretty scratched up in the area were the knee pad would have been. Lesson learned...PROTECTION - These are not downhill pads and are not going to protect you in a serious crash on hard terrain. However, the are nicely padded and will provide good protection against impact and abrasion in most general trail riding situations. I started mountain biking in early 2015 and bought these after my first real fall. I've continued to test my skills and gone down with them on several times since. These pads have saved me every time. I still got some bumps and bruises, but was able to get up and continue riding each time.DURABILITY - The pads have held up to the abuse. They still look mostly new and have no rips or marks (even after saving my butt on several occasions). As I said, these are tight and the straps are pretty much stretched to the max every time I put them on. As such, the straps and velcro are showing a bit of wear, but nothing extreme. They also seems like something I could fix easily myself when the time comes.

I have to wear some sort of padding over my elbow due to an injury. I use this day and night on my left elbow to protect the ulnar nerve.I think the pair i was shipped was tried on before and returned to amazon, not a huge deal to me.I used the measurement chart- it fits well per the chart. I was 7" measured, so i went with the small. Not too tight, and with 2 velcro straps to tighten or adjust the top and bottom.Bends with the arm- but limits full flexion (complete bend), which is good in my case.I will also be wearing them as a set when i board. But wanted to share this other use for them in case anyone else was on the fence.great protection of the nerve. I feel good about it.(why didn't i get a brace from the doctor? right? Their prescribed answer was TAPE towels around it or use and ace bandage. eye roll)Great pads, I'll grab some wrist guards before next season.

Do they work? I think so. I've never had a bad fall but seems to protect my elbows when I test them on a wall.Comfort is good not great. The Velcro that prevents them from slipping also makes them more irritating. The Velcro is also making a mess. Those little hooks are catching the fabric, causing fraying.I have G-Form knee pads and I like them better. Just slide on/off with no Velcro.I have confidence these will protect me from road rash and they fit well under my jacket and are light weight.

Bought these in a size small for my 8 year old and was worried they would be way too big. They were big for him but he is able to sinch down the velcro and they work great. Already saved some skin!

🔎The Triple Eight ExoSkin Elbow Pad for Skate and Skateboarding comes in a small plastic bag. There is a set of two elbow protectors inside.🧡I bought them for my 6-year-old son, for his inline speed skating training.Size M is perfect for him to use as a knee protection.I tested a few brands and wanted something as flexible as possible, so he could have a full range of motion, without sacrificing the protection. They are very flexible and absorb sweat well.Tested already and protected my son's knees well during 2 falls.👎One of the most expensive sets available.💲An expensive, but top quality. Great performance, well worth every penny.
