We have been ordering these ordering these over the years wherever we've lived! Get one for your TV and internet, and one for your refrigerator units and freezers for those temporary outages. They work FANTASTIC and you will never be without internet and without tv (we have ours connected to the living room tv and the router there.

Works great, with 2 computers and dual monitors connected. The Amazon description says 7.5 minute run time, but the package says 66 minutes. I wanted the longer runtime - even if only 7.5 minutes - for the luxury of a safe and orderly saving of files and system shutdown, instead of panicking with a shorter runtime. The only problem is the display - it stays on all the time. It would be nice if the display could be turned off, it is nice to see the voltage delivered by the power company.

I saw this UPS used at my company and has lasted for more than 4 years and this was used as an extra backup for a CCTV server and network appliances. So, I bought it to replace a failed APC UPS and so far I have had about 2 brown outs and 1 trip on my my breaker box. It has held up like a champ and I didn't have to do the Usain Bolt dash to the breaker box trying to save my servers from cutting out and damaging my hard drives. I am looking to purchase another one. I wish it was possible to dim the LCD display but it is a great buy overall.

I had this product installed for several years. I kept my desktop setup (computer, router, and external drives) connected to avoid power outages. The other day, it made a loud popping sound. Everything that was plugged into the unit lost power. One of my external hard drives is now inoperable. No power issues anywhere else. SO, the thing that was supposed to protect my devices from power surge... failed, AND killed one of my devices. 6 months past the warranty too. so, now I have a worthless pile of fried batteries.

This is a great replacement for a more expensive name brand I had.The front display is bright and readable so make sure this is also in an area you dont want lit up. Lucky for me, I was able to place this is a place that use to need a night light for no toe stubbing. This worked excellent. The power connections were nice and tight with my meter showing a consistent power even when "Tripped" Plenty of space for wire in back and not very loud when it is ON but lets you know when it is on battery.Has all the functions of others but at a better cost.Batteries look easy to replace but haven't tried yet since it is still new.

If you have a nice PC then this is something I highly recommend. A UPS that can handle the load of running your pc and monitor on battery isn’t something you think you need until you need it. I have my pc, main monitor, and router/ modem plugged in. Middle of a game and the power goes out for a couple seconds in my house (some windy weather / it happens every once and a while). Everthything I was using stayed on. What a revelation. Also! This unit switches from battery BACK to normal power once the power comes back on. That’s essential because if you have to get down under your desk and hold a button to get it back on normal mode then it’s kinda pointless.TLDR: Does exactly what it’s supposed to do. Worked wonderfully during brief power outage. Pc and internet stayed on.(Update): Everything I said before has been 100% backed up multiple times now. This thing is ROCK solid, and will protect against power outages like a freaking CHAMP. It's easily able to handle my entire PC setup with 2 monitors, as well as the modem and router. I don't lose any connection, or have any interruptions even with 5 minute long power outages. What a fantastic investment for anyone who has nice computers that they want to protect.

The display can be rotated for tower or horizontal use; the display shows input utility voltage - very helpful when on generator power; and a "Test" mode tells you in advance whether your model/battery will support the combined volt/amps of your devices. Very nice!

Bought two expensive hdds recently, and already had the thrill of watching the house power go off for a few seconds without any problems for my $1000 plus in new drives. It was a worthwhile investment in preserving new expensive hardware. Sure glad I didn't put off the expense.

Disclosure and confession: I spent two decades reviewing UPS systems for several of the largest computer magazines, almost on a yearly basis, and got to know the players in the field quite well, along with their advantages and disadvantages. In almost all the reviews, Tripp-Lite would end up at or near the top of the list of products for their superb engineering, rugged design, and support. Over the years, I've bought quite a few UPSs for personal use, and the vast majority have been Tripp Lites. So, after buying another high-end computer with all-SSD storage, and suffering through five power glitches in a week of bad weather, it was time to buy another UPS. It was, quite frankly, a no-brainer. This was the unit I chose, based on several facts: I like to have extra capacity in the output, so I wanted at least a 1200VA model, the construction was extremely solid, and the price was competitive. I have not been disappointed. The UPS arrived next day (despite not paying for next-day shipment!), got plugged in, and went to work immediately. These are not the world's most attractive UPSs, but they are not ugly either, and they are designed to minimize heat and noise. The documentation is still (twenty years later!) mediocre at best, but all you need to know is on one or two pages, and the software (if you want to connect the UPS to your computer) needs to be downloaded and is, at best, acceptable. Other vendors have nicer designs, better-written manuals, and better software, but after comparing this Tripp Lite with older Tripp Lites and some other manufacturers' units already in my house, I still strongly believe the Tripp Lite is the best built and best designed unit. A very good friend is a protection engineer, and she took the unit apart and pronounced the engineering "excellent".If you want a space-age design and fancy software, then look elsewhere. If you want a UPS that is solid, rugged, reliable, and will be trouble-free for years, then this is one of your best choices. I have some Tripp Lites that have lasted close to a decade on the same battery, and have never seen one of their units fail (unlike some of the other UPS vendors). Extremely solid unit, and strongly recommended.
