I purchased this over a year ago for our new home. I wanted it over our bed in the outlet connected to the wall switch. That way if I don't feel like getting out of bed, I can just reach up and turn it off. Or, if I'm otw out, I can just hit the light switch.As in the caption, the light is dimmable, so great if you want to read or just have some ambient lighting. It is durable, very well made and has a classic look to it. The cord length is perfect, as I said it's above our headboard.My husband installed it without issue and liked it so much, he purchased one for his office.

The lamp is half decent, but it's not perfect. There is a plate that screws to the wall and the lamp base screws onto the plate. There are holes drilled into the plate but the screws are too wide to fit, so I had to use the lines or cutouts to secure the plate. Also, the plate does not fit flat against the wall so when you screw it down it gets warped. Then when the base plate of the lamp is screwed against this steel plate, it is bent and the screws not line up with the holes in the base plate. I had to bend these screws sticking out of the plate in order to slide the base on to mount it on the wall.The swivel against the wall is pretty tight so you do not have to worry about the lamp losing tension anytime soon, however there is uneven tension when swiveled on one side vs the other.You do have some choices on how to position the lamp using the arms. Each junction has a wingnut- if there is enough force from the wingnut being tightened there are teeth that lock against each other. This is a good design so that they wont slip over time.There is an on/off switch on the cord, but there is also an on/off switch on the base plate. If you turn all the way to the dimmer side and turn it more it will click off. I would choose my desired brightness and leave it and then use the cord to turn on/off.So there are a few quirks assembling, and I'm guessing that this is pretty similar to other lamps in the same $$$ bracket. My concern is if you are somebody that is frequently going to adjust the position of the lamp then the junction will wear out, break, or not work properly. I do think this a good looking, stylish lamp.

These are modern, yet homey, and seem to go in any space with any decor. I could see them over hall tables, in dining rooms, over a kitchen worktable, in a bookcase or over a desk. All you need is a nearby outlet! I hung them on either side of my headboard to use for reading and love how they can be adjusted to shine where needed. I thought having plug-in sconces would be less nice than hard-wired ones, but there's a certain charm in having the cords hang straight down the wall when anchored. Besides, most of the cord is hidden by the headboard. The gold tone really dresses up my bedroom and the lamps add dimension... and also make reading in bed so much more pleasant!

What a great value these lamps are! They are beautifully made, beautifully finished, and provide many options for light in my guest bedroom. I have attached two photographs, one with the nightlight feature and the other with them on all the way. I have 4000 K in my house and these have that same option which I love. You can also choose a warmer light if you prefer. I am “tickled†with these wall lamps!

These lights come in a package of two and you can either plug them in or hardwire them. We chose to hardwire them because I don't like the look of a cord on the wall. We replaced our bedside lights with these and the light is great - but put a warm color bulb in. They are rather heavy but the arm screws into place so they will be stationary - think big ornamental screws so they can easily be adjusted if needs be. I created a reading corner in our bedroom so I put this next to the bedsides but so I could swing it over to the chair. The price point is great - good value.

Pros:1. I love the way they look2. They were SO easy to install (not hardwired)3. I love the light optionsCons:1. Knob on unit doesn't work as a dimmer; can only be used to change light shade.2. Only 1 remote for 2 lights (I have them in different rooms so I always have to bring the remote to the room I am in)3. Finicky to adjust. You have to unlock each joint with a knob, set the position, and then lock it in place. Not a problem if your placement is fairly stationary, but at my desk it is a pain to adjust for standing vs sitting.

I used to have a desk lamp, which was not very practical. This lamp is easy to assemble and highly adjustable. I am impressed with the build quality and finish. The opaque lamp shade is great because, with the right lamp, one is able to focus the light on a wide/narrow area. On top of that, the dimming switch comes very handy.There are two things to consider: 1) To use a dimmable light bulb, and 2) To select a light bulb with the appropriate length in order to avoid the light source peeking out of the shade and straining one's eyes, or causing distraction. I am using a 75 Watt replacement reflector dimmable LED light that is slightly shorted than 4 inches [~10.0 centimetres].Overall, I am very satisfied with this lamp, and would recommend it to everyone who has a fixed desk, and seeks a minimalist, functional, and high-quality light source.

Got this light and really liked it, after about 3 months one of them stopped working. Customer service wes great and they mailed me out a replacement right away.

Lights arrived very fast! Packaging was very small and lights were totally disassembled. Instructions were a series of pictures and installation was very easy (anybody with minimal diy experience would complete the task in less than 5 minutes). Option to hard wire is nice but we choose to install using the provided electrical plug. Lights are very light and solid on the walk when installed. Make sure you use dimmable bulbs or you may find the dimmer switch not functioning correctly and/or humming with a slight noise. Lights are very nice and functional. Great price and would highly recommend.

I like these but I didn't get a good sense of the size from the photos. They're a bit larger than is esthetically pleasing for a bedroom even though we have a fairly large room, and king size bed. I still like them but may eventually change them out and put these lights in another room.I like the dimming feature and the swing arm. They're great for bedtime reading.Set up was easy for me - it's pretty standard. However, when I took them down to paint, I noticed that the mounting plate was warping from the he weight of the lamp being on one side most of the time. I added extra screws at 3 & 9 clock positions to compensate.
