I could not find any instructions on how to use this trombone grip. It looks line the object in the photos, but there is no labeling on the package that the one that I received is the one for trombone. The photos shown on the Amazon product page are contradictory as to how it might fit on the trombone. The top photo ("Portable Trombone Hand Strap") shows part of it, with the player's left hand in the proper position. When I put my hand in the position shown, the other end of the strap is not supporting the weight of the trombone. The lower closeup photo ("Compact size...") shows the hand in the wrong position on the other side of the slide. The third photo shows no grip on the trombone. The 4th row of 3 photos shows a different type of grip being used in the middle photo. These are just photos of people playing trombones, with no connection to the product. I would like to contact the manufacturer to get some detailed instructions. The product should ship with at least a link to good instructions.

I couldn’t figure out what style to order so I bought one of each. They were exactly the same and did not fit. The package labeling had item numbers but did not indicate A or B. Oh well.

I’ve seen this wrap for several years, and always wanted to try it out. Beware: This may not fit your bass trombone. It may need some modification, but I have not been able to keep this wrap secure on my slide. Great material, but the metal is not very malleable, and makes it difficult to adjust to fit my own bass trombone.

The brace was In a way, too large for my horn. Super surprising. Maybe it could fit someone else’s, just not mine.
